The roman god Jupiter was important to the romans civilization because he was the god of storms, thunder and sky as well as the protector of state and laws. Jupiter's symbol is a lightning bolt and the eagle.

A unique story or myth is at his command, mighty thunders would flash and lightnings would roll, wreaking havoc; or the skies would open to rejuvenate the earth with life-giving water as the personification of the operations of nature, he represented the grand laws of unchanging and harmonious order, by which both the natural and the spiritual world were governed. He was the god of regulated time as marked by the changing seasons and the regular succession of day and night. I choose Jupiter because he is the most powerful god in roman mythology /religion. Two words to describe Jupiter is Power and Might.

Proserpina

The Roman goddess was important to the civilization because she was the goddess of the underworld. A unique story is that Pluto, the king of the underworld, kidnapped her and brought her with him to the underworld. However, she still visited her mother Ceres only during the time of spring, otherwise she spent it in the underworld. Hence giving her the name, goddess of springtime.

I chose Proserpina although now in this time it is common to be monotheistic, I think it is important to know that even polytheistic religions back then still had their own version of "punishment" or hell, therefore giving us insight on the religion back then and a comparison to then and now. Two words that describe the goddess is good and evil.

Juno is a roman goddess, she is commonly compared with Heris, for they share many similar qualities. They also have differences. Juno is important to the roman religion because she is known for being the protector of her nation and for watching over all aspects of women's life. The story or myth of Juno is one of the most well known stories in roman mythology.

I chose Juno because she is a big part of the roman religion and a great protector of her nation and two words to describe this goddess would be possessive and heroine. Juno and Minerva (other goddess) we're part of a group called capitonline triad of deities traditionally introduced by the Etruscan kings.
