Second, what is ''Safer Internet Day''?

Safer Internet Day promotes a safer and more responsible use of online technology by children and young people around the world.

I've seen many kids that are scared of the internet. Why? Because cyberbullying is now very popular and needs to be stopped!

Cyberbullying is the use of technology to harass, threaten, embarrass, or target another person.

Tips to help stopping cyberbullying:

1. Don't respond!

2. Save the evidence!

3. Protect your accounts!

   This is my opinion about this subject.

What is "Safer internet day"?

Safer Internet Day is a global event celebrated annually on the second of Tuesday of February to raise awareness of a safer and better internet for all, and especially for children and young people.

The internet is a cool place to learn and play. Have fun, but always be smart and safe. If you're not sure about something, ask someone you trust for help. Just like you wouldn't be mean to someone in school, don't be mean online. Treat others with kindness and respect. Remember, words online can hurt just like words in person.

We thought that nowadays the internet is used a lot, and that honestly is not good, because at some point the AI may be smarter than us in all aspects, and that can cause many inconveniences.

We have also thought that there are people who cause bad behaviors towards people, but obviously not by their appearance, but by how they act and how they really are, one of them are the "hackers", which in other words are people who manipulate all kinds of screens, even causing viruses (or many more types of people), and that is very dangerous.

And last but not least we want to comment, that every time the cell phone or many more related things, are becoming something indispensable.

Internet Day was first celebrated on October 25, 2005, promoted by the Internet Users Association. Shortly thereafter, the Information Society Summit held in Tunis in November 2005 decided to propose to the UN, at the request of the Internet Users Association, a World Internet Day to be celebrated globally around the world. The UN agreed to set May 17, the day dedicated to Telecommunications, with the addition of World Information Society Day,1 to promote the importance of ICTs and the various issues related to the Information Society raised at WSIS. In March 2006, the General Assembly adopted a resolution (A/RES/60/252) proclaiming May 17 as World Information Society Day each year.

We believe that the Internet can be safe if you know how to use it, otherwise it can cause serious harm.

The internet is a search engine where you can find a lot of things.

Sharing personal information can make it easier for cyber criminals to gain access to our accounts and get hold of our personal information to use it against us or just to watch us, and to avoid those problems you can use limits so they can't access our private stuff.

Today is Safer Internet Day, which aims to raise awareness about a safer and more responsible use of technology. Safer Internet Day is a worldwide event that this year is celebrated on February 7, with the slogan "Together for a better Internet".

What does secure internet mean?

With secure internet you can efficiently manage the database, the speed quoted in your internet plan, this service allows you to protect your network and the information system to and from the internet through tools such as firewall, content filtering, bandwidth usage control, and so on.

Safer Internet Day (SID) is an event held in February each year to promote safer and more responsible use of new technologies, smartphones and the Internet.

There are a number of measures that are important to ensure the security of our data on the Internet:

1. Do not share email or phone number.

2. Sharing our location in real time or the location of our home is very dangerous.

3. Do not show to the photos of childrenld , especially on social networks.

4. The fact of uploading photos to our networks or the Internet already has an impact on our digital identity and should be done wisely.

5.never give bank details

Don't forget: the online environment can be your friend, but also your worst enemy!

Today I want to talk about the internet safety and how the internet is a very unsafe place.

The internet is used by almost every human at any age. It means that kids are getting access to devices from a very young age, and they don't know what dangers they are exposed to.

There are two major problems that can be met on the internet: cyberbullying and hackers.

Cyberbullying is a type of bullying that happens online. Kids are getting harassed and threatened by older people that think what they do is funny. There are also another reasons why the bully does that, like:

-being jealous;

-being angry;

-trying to be popular;

-being irritated by someone.

On the other hand hackers are attacking companies and goverment organisations from all over the world.

After all, for a safer internet we should learn not to share personal informations.

Today I'm gonna talk about the dangerous internet. And how the internet is unsafe. The internet is used by many people including kids. This is because they get access to devices from a young age. The internet is full of dangerous problems. The two most major problems being cyberbullying and the so called "hackers".

1. Cyberbullying - is the type of bullying that happens on the internet. Kids are getting harassed by other people anonymously. The bullies intend on harassing the respective person because :

   • They want to get popular

   • They are jealous

   • They are angry on the victim

2. Hackers. - These "hackers" are attacking accounts by stealing their information and email , phone number, bank details, etc. this is illegal , but they keep their identity anonymous. They don't just steal personal information, but they also attack other companies, and other organisations from the world/country.

In my opinion , on these important accounts that we keep our personal information we should have some sort of security that prevent kids from using it, like age restriction. Maybe you will say "But it doesn't matter because kids will enter a fake birthday" yes, but they will need some evidence for them to prove they are introducing the right birthday.

1. Protect Personal Information: Safeguard sensitive data like passwords and financial details from cybercriminals who exploit vulnerabilities for fraud.

4. Defend Against Malware: Practice safe browsing habits, use reputable security software, and stay vigilant against phishing to counter threats like malware and viruses.

5. Avoid Online Scams: Recognize and avoid common scams that trick users into disclosing sensitive information or falling for fraudulent schemes.

6. Protect Vulnerable Individuals: Implement parental controls, educate children about online safety, and promote open communication to safeguard them from online risks.

7. Preserve Mental Well-being: Manage internet usage, take breaks from screens, and seek support to maintain a healthy relationship with the digital world.

In summary, internet safety is essential in today's interconnected world. By staying informed, adopting proactive measures, and promoting digital literacy, individuals can enjoy the benefits of the internet while minimizing its risks.

Nowadays, there are lots of social networks that asks you your personal information. If we say all personal information we are not going to be safe.

Today, there are lots of hackers, and they can controle us. So much people is affected by the social networks. We have to learn to controle in what places we put our personal information.

1. Make sure you’re using a secure internet connection

-Although using public Wi-Fi is not recommended, it’s sometimes unavoidable when you are out and about. However, when you go online in a public place and use a public Wi-Fi connection, you have no direct control over its security, which could leave you vulnerable to cyberattacks.

2. Choose strong passwords

-Passwords are one of the biggest weak spots when it comes to cybersecurity. People often choose passwords that are easy to remember and, therefore, easy for hackers to crack with hacking software.

3. Keep software and operating systems updated

-Developers are constantly working to make products safe, monitoring the latest threats and rolling out security patches in case of vulnerabilities in their software.

4.Be careful of suspicious links and where you click

-A careless click can expose your personal data online or infect your device with malware. That’s why it's essential to browse consciously and avoid certain types of online content – such as links from untrusted sources and spam emails, online quizzes, clickbait, ‘free’ offers or unsolicited ads.

5.Make sure your devices are secure

With up to 60% of people using mobile devices for shopping and finding information online, instead of a desktop, it’s important that they are secured correctly. With all your devices – phones, computers, tablets, smartwatches, smart TVs, etc. – it's good practice to use passwords or passcodes and other security options like fingerprint readers or face-scanning technology.

1.      Do not give personal information about yourself or your family to anyone you meet on the Internet.

         -->These can be your name, age, phone number, photos, address, school where you study, parents' workplace, etc.

2.    Passwords are secret and belong to you.

        --> They are like house keys that you don't give to anyone, not even to your friends. If you suspect that your password has been leaked, change it immediately!

3.     Install and constantly update an anti-virus program on your computer.

         --> For greater protection against viruses, avoid opening and downloading files from unverified sources.

You need to keep some rules in mind to be safe. For example :

Do not tell strangers important information about yourself. And by this i mean your full name, your age, your location , etc. You can get hacked and a lot of bad things can happen.

Another rule is to not open any suspicious links from different sources. It s very dangerous and all your data can be stolen.

And also keep in mind to not use the same password for different websites because if you get hacked on one website you can get hacked on all of them.

Nowadays you can find a lot of things on the internet and you need to be very careful while browsing. Especially in the communication with strangers and social media.

It s awful that the internet can literally ruin lives and it can affect you a lot physically but if you keep yourself safe and away from the negativity spread on the social media, then you ll be completely fine!

1.Do not tell strangers your personal data,for example your address,your credit card number and your ID number.

2.Do not click on suspicious sites and use safe and reliable sites.

3.Some people on the internet are not very nice and might tell you very mean things.If you encounter one of this people block them or if you cannot do that leave the site.
