That apparently came as little surprise to those who work in public health. Washoe, by the way, slipped in this latest survey from fourth to ninth.

A recent study provides early evidence that increased potassium may help prevent hardening of the arteries, which contributes to serious heart-related conditions.
3.) Hardening of the arteries causes plaques of fat, cholesterol, calcium, and other substances that reduce blood flow. This leads to serious conditions like high blood pressure, heart disease, and stroke.
4.) The new research provides a deeper understanding of how dietary potassium prevents hardening of the arteries. Beans, spinach, bananas, yogurt, and potatoes are good sources of potassium.

1.) It turns out the way we use social media changes the way our brains function.
2.)In a recent study, researchers at the UCLA brain mapping center used an f MRI scanner to image the brains of 32 teenagers as they used a bespoke social media app resembling Instagram.
3.) Scans revealed that the nucleus accumbens, a part of the brain's reward circuitry, was especially active when teens saw a large number of likes on their own photos, which could inspire them to use social media more often.

4.) Time spent on social media could, therefore, also cause the brain to change and grow.
