Wind Ensemble

My favorite class this year was Wind Ensemble. This class has many of my friends in it and I've made so many memories in this class. Dr. Dailey is an incredibly funny teacher. He always has something out of pocket to say that gets us laughing for the next couple of minutes. I also love getting to not only do something I'm passionate about, but do it with some of my best friends. While band can be hard, it is all worth it when you get to play an amazing piece on stage with your closest friends and amazing director. All the students have a great bond with each other and Dr. Dailey. Him and his class make the day even better. It is a safe place where we can have fun and forget about our worries.

BOA

Going to and performing at BOA Grand Nationals was my favorite memory this year. We perform in Lucas Oil and while it is one of the scariest feelings, it's also one of the greatest. It makes me realize how small yet important I am as a person. I love getting to spend the weekend there with some of my favorite people and watching all the other marchings bands perform. We all have fun staying up late in our hotels, walking around the stadium, performing, and crying when we don't make semis. Going to BOA and performing in Lucas Oil stadium is such a surreal feeling. It's a moment that the whole marching band works for all fall season, and it never fails to be worth it.
