I think that PBIS provides the framework for DEI and SEL to exist. SEL and DEI are tools for building positive behavior in the "universal" tier of PBIS. SEL is designed to build the ability to exhibit positive behaviors on a daily basis - these positive behaviors are not possible without self-awareness, self-management, social awareness, and relationship skills. DEI is a fundamental part of SEL - to be socially aware and to have positive relationships requires one to celebrate diversity, promote equity, and promote inclusion.

PBIS: positive behaviors, establishing clear expectations, providing consistent consequences for behavior, and using data.

I think that the focus for each is different:

DEI focuses on personal inclusion

SEL focuses on personal social/emotional health

PBIS focuses on personal behaviors

Some circles are adding a "B" (belongingness) to DEI to become DEIB. This helps to show the linkages to SEL and PBIS.

I think providing opportunities for personal agency and voice is foundational to the work across all of these frameworks. I work to give my freshmen a voice on a daily basis in my classroom, through all of these lens. Through a DEI lens, I provide learners with the opportunity to celebrate the ways that make them diverse and give them opportunities to feel included. Through the SEL lens, I help students understand themselves and ways to self-regulate and build relationships. Through PBIS, I encourage freshmen consider how to demonstrate positive behavior as they move toward adulthood.
