If it is a predator and cannot adapt to its new environment, the species may die unless it adapts. Addtionally, the species may help the ecosystem by controlling the amount of prey, producers, or predators.

Ben: Adding a new species to an ecosystem may result in native species suffering. In an ecosystem, populations have different niches, or roles to play. If there are two species with the same niches, there will be a lot of competition. Consequently, I believe the new species will either be an invasive species which decimates the amount of necessities that the native organisms require or it will quickly die off because the species isn’t used to the environment.

Ibrahim:  adding a new species to an ecosystem may overpopulate and could suffer if there is no predators. In  different ecosystems there are different populations  and different species. Sometimes, that non native species can become an invasive species to certain organisms in that ecosystem. For example, the White Ash Tree, my organism, has an invasive species that is a type  of insect. That insect that was non native to the urban forest, the White Ashes habitat, ended up causing this tree to become extinct in Michigan. That means it no longer exists here.  It's population had struggled to survive here and eventually had started to decrease until there were only few in numbers left in our state. Invasive species can take away resources from native organisms.  Non native species can also be good for an ecosystem.
