The General Department of Taxation has issued an official letter on strengthening tax management for the trading of gold, silver, and gemstones. The tax departments are asked to review all enterprises, households, and individuals involved in such trading, especially those dealing with raw gold and gold bars. The aim is to detect any discrepancies between actual cost price, revenue, and the declared value-added tax. The tax agency coordinates closely with relevant functional agencies such as: Police, Market Management, Banks, Customs… to carry out strict management of the business type of gold, silver, gemstones, and reduce risks in tax management.

Through inspection and examination work, if detecting organizations, individuals trading gold, silver, gemstones violating tax laws and showing signs of crime, they will transfer the dossier to the police agency to investigate and handle according to the provisions of the law.
