Confucianism and Daoism Developed: 500 BCE

A man named Confucius founded this religion. He criticized the misrule of kings, and it brought peace to China. Daoism dao means path and talks about the way. It was based on nature and appreciating nature.

Legalism Developed: 250 BCE

Legalism is about a bunch of laws. Somebody named Hanfeizi introduced legalism. There was strict laws in harsh punishments if you didn't follow the rules.

Qin Dynasty: 221-210 BCE

Somebody named Qin Shi Huangdi was the ruler at the time. Doing this time a writing system was officialized by the government's, and the umbrella was invented.

Han Dynasty: 206 BCE-220 CE
