Black Plague 1347-1351

The "Black Plague" also known as the "Black Death" started in October 1347-1351. This was an epidemic that started in the mid-1300s in Europe and Asia. October 1347, 12 ships went to Europe to bring back dead sailors and some were sick with oozing wounds. Symptoms started showing on other people as well, such as plague-boils, strange swelling, and severe fever-like symptoms as well. Five years later over 20 million people will die from this horrible disease.

John Locke - Two Treatises of Government 1689

English Philosopher John Locke , published the Two Treatises of Government in 1689. The first treatise was aimed at the 17th-century by Sir Robert Filmer for the theory of "divine rights by the king", John Locke claimed that Filmer's word is "common sense''. As a political philosopher Locke had an argument with the second treatise, he defined political power as having "right of making Laws with Penalties of Death". With these two treatise of government he argues about the different political rights and power that should be given or had.

Execution of King XVI- 1793

Louis ascended the throne in 1744, as he took the throne he inherited his grandfather's (King Louis XV) financial problems. Over the years King Louis tried to fix these problems by assembling the State General in 1789. The eruption of violence happened on July 14, 1789, when the Parisians stormed to a state prison where ammunition was stored. Sooner or later they royal couple had to flee to Austria. On the trip they were apprehended at Varennes, France and taken back to Paris. Year or so later they got arrested and taken to the quarantine and died.

Battle of Waterloo 1815

The Battle of Waterloo was Napoleon's final defeat ending the 23 years of warfare between France and the powers of Europe. This was fought near the Waterloo village, south of the Brussels. This was accusing doing the Hundred days of Napoleons restoration. When the French defeated the Parisians at Lingy and Wellington at Quatre-Bras doing the secondary war. Napoleons marshals failed to annihilate either enemy while they were separated.

Alfred Nobel and Dynamite 1867

Alfred Nobel was a swedish chemist, engineer, and industrialist who invented many powerful explosives such as "dynamite". Nitroglycerin this is what dynamite was based off of. This chemical compound mixed with another substance called kieselguhr, and with the right proportions left a dry and granular material. After observing it Nobel made a solid that was resistant to shock and could be activated by heat or things related to heat. Which can make a boom like sound and an explosion.

The Prussian Wars 1870-71

"The Franco-Prussian War" also known as the "Franco-German War" happened in 1870-1871. There was an alliance with German states led by Prussia defeating France. This ended dominance in France having ownership in Europe. This came into a unified place with Germany. After a while there was a possibility of a raise of Prussia and Spain against France.

Congo Free States 1885-1908

Congo free state, previous state in Africa that was known to occupy almost all of the Congo River basin. This was created in 1880s as a private holding group for Europeans working with Leopold II. The king's attention got caught by this region from someone named Henry, later known as sir Henry. An exploration by Morton Stanley of the Congo River starting in 1874–77. Later on in 1877 Leopold formed a committee for the studies of upper Congo.

Coca-Cola 1886

Coca-Cola originated in 1866 by an Atlanta pharmacist, John S. Pemberton, at his own Pemberton chemical company. This beverage used to be a medicine made out of cocaine and caffeine extracts of a kola nut. After 17 years the producer removed the cocaine factor out of the drink. John sold his drink to the local soda fountains, with some advertising the drink was an excellent success. Now today in the present we drink this drink as a sweet and bubbly drink to feel refreshed or just for thirst.
