  • One characteristic is when the gorillas move in a stooped posture with their knuckles resting on the ground so they can move quickly over a short period of time. 
  • A second adaptation is that they build nests on the ground to sleep in each night and they also build nests during the day.
  • A third characteristic is the gorillas will drum on their chest to alarm the others of danger.
