I am so impressed by how much work each student has put into this project. I am SO PROUD of you guys!!! Not only did you choose a famous person and research his/her life, but then you wrote an entire essay about that individual based on the information you gathered. Then you drew a figure of the person, and finally, made hand-crafted items and symbols important to his/her life--WOW!!! That is a ton of hard work.

This is more like a fifth grade project--and you guys are only in second grade. You should be super, super proud of yourselves. You can do hard things, especially with a fantastic teacher guiding you along the way (we love you, Mrs. Thomas!). You are ROCKSTARS!!! 🥳🤩🙌🏻💜

Also, what a great idea to include a microphone and protest picket sign as two of your representative items--these really symbolize Mr. King's crucial role in the Civil Rights movement. Great job!!
