Leaving Europe for better days in America

People in the past day left the country , because they believed, that they would have a better life in an other country. In wartime, people ften didn't have much or any food, so they fleed to another country and the USA.
It could be also possible, that older people immigrated into the USA, to have a better future for theyr kids and theyr grandkids. School could have been better in other countrys, medicin or just the safety.

My idea:

My Ideas:

Questions:

1. Why did you go to Ireland?

I was born in Ireland

2. Where did your parents get acquainted?

My parents met in Polland on an eco-festival. They moved to england, then hungary, then they got married in scotland and moved to Ireland where i was born. They later moved to Hungary again, where my sister was born, then england, slovakia where my dad stayed for a year as me and my mum gradually moved back to Hungary

3. Which culture is better for the Hungarian or the Irish?

I don't think one culture is better than another. In a way, I prefer the Irish because it's much more jolly. Also, I love Celtic folklores, because they are filled with magic, but I prefer the Hungarian language and hungarian poetry. Also the Irish are generally much more friendly and happy, which seems to be imbeded in their culture

4. Why did you decide to come back to Hungary?

It wasn't really my choice, my mother wanted to live in hungary because she felt like all her friends are here and she's lonely in England (this was when we lived in england) and as she was still my legal guardian, I had no say in it

5. How is political life in Ireland?

I'm not very involved in politics, most of the debates i know about are of independance of Northern Ireland from the UK. Also, gay marriage has just been legalised recently, and for all i know health care is nearly as good as in england. If one goes to Ireland, they will notice how forward it is compared to Hungary, but sadly I'm unaware of most of the political events

6. Are people more acceptable in Hungary or Ireland?

Most definitely. Irish people are very accepting, ages ahead of Hungary, they speak about sexuality and racism much more openly, i think thats something this country should learn from them, since not only does it make them pleasant to be around, it helpes the country move forward as people embrace their individuality, they will feel less oppressed and will want to be involved more so in developing the country, also, breaking down taboo topics opens a new road to solve a lot of problems

7. What was the connection with the United Kingdom?

Well, most of them view the UK as something like its brother country, getting from one country to another is so easy that they could practicly be the same. I've never met anyone there who cares about independance from the UK, although i do know that some people take it very seriously. Irish people are stereotypically hated by the english. You know hungarian "blond woman jokes" where the blond woman is always incompetent and stupid. Those jokes exist in england as "irish man jokes" where the irish man is always the fool, but in reality, i've never anyone in eithee country who actually disliked the other nationality

8. What do you think of the Irish on the Hungarians?

Hungarians are much less polite and more distant at times than the irish, but in contrast they are better at expressing their emotions. As far as i know they consider hungarians as grumpy at times, yet deep people. I think they see us as we would see poets like Petofi. Drawn back, distant yet passionate and deep

9. Is there a reason why Irish people would come to Hungary?

Well, let me think. Irish people think quite differently, and there's so much about the Hungarian life they might want to experience. All the irish people i know who have been to Hungary loved the food, since it's very different compared to irish cuisines, my grandparents love Lángos, the Bringo hinto, the fogaskereku and much of the hungarian architecture. So yes, i think there are many things that they would be interested in

10. Where would you like to spend your life, Hungary or Ireland? I love great Britain and I've always wanted to spend my life there, not necessarily in Ireland, but thats also a possibilty, I love the way people think there and I plan to go back there to university and plan a future there, but who knows where I'll end up.
