The Lobster 2015: The basic plot of the film is that if you don't find someone to marry within a certain amount of time you are turned into an animal. The film hints at the ideology that people tend to settle with whoever they can find once they reach an age where you are supposed to, regardless if you actually love or are happy with that person. A lot of the time people pair up and start not because they truly love each but rather just to check the box because it's better to just go with it than run out of time and end up alone or turned into an animal such as a lobster.

From what the reading says, I can propose that ideology is something that must be taken into account based on the subject matter. Say, in the context of a show like Dora or any other film or form of media with a very simple subject matter, unless extremely forced, ideological principals shouldn't be littered throughout. Movies with a more intricate subject matter such as, for example "Ghost in the Shell," discussing the possibility that humans may not have a soul, will have it's ideology plastered throughout the entirety of the film. On the topic of "Ghost in the Shell," when first watching, I personally wasn't interested, but after the main cast of characters (which majority in the movie are cyborgs) start hearing a voice akin to an inner conscience in their heads, they question whether or not the concept of the human soul even does exist. I missed this at first glance and simply thought it was a character I didn't see talking.

The documentary looks at trans and non-binary people in media throughout history, how they have been misrepresented, and the negative affects that it has had on many people.
