Truman</p><p>Soviet Union: Joseph Stalin</p><p>North Korea:&nbsp;Kim II-sung</p><p>U.S Secretary of State Dean Acheson </p><p><b>What:</b></p><p>The Korean War was a war that started off as a civil war between North and South Korea, but later rose to an international conflict, involving the United States, and Soviet Union.</p><p>United States helped South Korea</p><p>Soviet Union helped North Korea</p><p><b>When:</b></p><p>The Korean War started in 1950-1953</p><p><b>Where</b>: <p>The war took place in Asia.<p><b>Why:</b></p><p>The war started over an invasion in South Korea by North Korea. The war also started to stop communism and in order to do that the United States resolved to defend South Korea in a way that communism will not start in that country.</p>]]></description>
