How do you evaluate the technology component of a digital story? What would a technology integrated project rubric look like? How would the technology vs. content be weighted? Is it always the same ratio?

Tech vs. Content Ratio

If the primary goal of the task is for students to demonstrate their understanding of content then the content should be weighted more than the technology. If the primary purpose is getting students to utilize technology in a certain way or demonstrate their skill and ability with the technology then this would have greater weight in an evaluation. Having considered both of these scenarios, I think it's important to continue the conversation regarding how necessary content "regurgitation" is in our current "tech-infused" society. Our students have nearly any content they could ever desire available at their fingertips. So, maybe we should be focused more on the technology side and teaching students how to best use the technology available to them.
