This book was really interesting to me, and still is because it's full of mystery and suspense. Especially at the end. If I remember right, this was when we started getting reintroduced to writing narrative pieces. I enjoyed doing this piece because I was able to write about a fun time I had with family and friends while not having to worry about it being perfect. The reason I chose it though, was because I thought that the main character, sam, had learned a lot while living on his own. While I was working on this assignment, I did a lot of research on the main character's personality. Using what I learned, I tried to match it up with things like colors, and look into what they represented. Doing this podcast though, helped me be more open minded while working with others, and I think helped improve my communication skills. I was dreading doing it at first. I'm not very good at debating on the spot, so this is why I felt uneasy. After the debate though, I found myself being more open minded to people's opinions. Both sides had good arguments, and I even considered changing my stance.
