I chose this video because I found the spaced repetition method of studying taught in this video to be incredibly helpful. The advice in this video is condensed into a single topic, that being spaced repetition and studying and the idea of forgetting things to remember more. Despite the video keeping the same topic, the speaker is still able to go over information about the method, such as who first developed it and why it works. The idea behind the spacing effect is that while memories often decay over time, you can end up putting less time into your studying by spacing it out. For this method, both new and old flashcards are studied together, with older cards being shown less and newer, harder to solve cards being shown more often. By spending more time on the flashcards that need attention and less for subjects you already know, you can maximize the things you study. I enjoyed this video because it taught me more about flashcards and how to boost the amount of information I learn from them.

I decided to pick this video for my Padlet because I believe that learning to use flashcards to study is an important skill, even if you use other resources. Being able to look over information physically and going over questions individually is incredibly helpful, so including a video all about it felt necessary. Because of this, I wanted to include a video going over the most effective ways to utilize flash cards. I enjoyed this information because of all of the different tips and tricks he goes over rather than talking about one method. The methods he does go over are all ones which people watching could replicate, such as making your own flashcards and adding pictures along with the words to mix it up. This makes it easier to understand the topics he's going over and apply them to the real world.

I chose this video for my Padlet because I feel that creating a schedule for your final exam is incredibly important when talking about studying and how to get ready for something so big. Planning out how you're going to tackle a final exam is essential to learning about college and how to handle your work. I enjoyed this advice because not many people consider how they're going to prepare for their final exam, with many people going into it feeling like they can only know what they've studied before. However, this video goes over the importance of studying for your exam, including how you should know details such as when your exam will begin and what format the questions will be in. He also goes over other notable tips such as assessing how knowledgeable you are in a certain topic and to put together any small tasks or topics you might have into one group in order to study them in an uninterrupted block of time. This video taught me how to better study all of the topics a final exam might cover and how to best learn about them with the time you have.
