Inclusion involves including students with disabilities in the general education setting as much as possible, based on their needs. Students with disabilities must be able to meaningfully participate in general education classrooms, access and benefit from the curriculum, and have access to the Least Restrictive Environment. I believe it is important for educators and administration to determine what is truly necessary for a student to succeed, and that we have adequate programming, inclusion supports/training, and clear guidelines. This will help us include students with disabilities more effectively.
