A person’s life is their own and if they want to work in a certain profession, they should do so. Children should not be confined based on the limitation of their parents, but rather implored to find out what thye want to do with their live, because it is their lives. Whatever profession they select, they will most likely be working for years on end in that certain sector, and they should choose something they actually want to do. Parent’s have a strong influence on their child’s lives, and most likely, children will end up working similar jobs to their parents. Therefore, I believe that people that do not conform to the society are the ones that are going to lead the generation into new discoveries, and will revolutionize the future. I think those who do not conform to the society may be shunned at first. Take a look at Galileo. Galileo was shunned by his entire society for his provocative and insightful theories. He did not conform to the society and this nonconformist was shunned, however, the passage of time eventually legitimized his ideas and he gained great respect for going against the prevalent theories of the time. I feel like all of histories most important inventors and theorists were all outcasts. Althought it must have been extremely hard for all these nonconformists to deal with the societies that shunned their excellent ideas, they were better off for it. Some consequences that nonconformists had to endure consist of: shame, ridicule, jail time, being an outcast, death, torture.
