My name is Mario Cano García, I´m 21 years old, I was born in 2004, in Madrid, and I´ve been living here my whole life.

I life in a flat with my parents and my older sister, she is 24 and works as a programmer.

In my free time I enjoy hanging out with friends, reading or watching movies. I like working out at the gym and playing basketball, my friends and I have a team, and we play games on the weekends. I also enjoy traveling, getting to know new countries and their cultures.

I am a person who likes to take an interest in new things and set new challenges for myself. When I meet new people, I´m quite shy at first, but then I open up once I feel confortable.

PROFESSIONAL PROFILE:

I graduated in Food Engineering at the Polytechnic University of Madrid in 2026. During my studies, I worked as a lifeguard and as a waiter, but the most remarkable job, and the one that helped me the most to improve my English and develop my people skills, was working as a ride operator at an amusement park in the United States. I lived there in a residence for three months.

After finishing my degree, I worked at a yogurt company for two years, making sure that the treatments and quality processes were carried out properly. I worked there for five years until I decided to make a change and apply for a position at a brewery, where I have been working up to the present day.

Since I am still studying, I cannot work in my profession yet, but I do have work experience in other jobs. I got my lifeguard certificate, which allowed me to work for two summers. I also have experience working as a specialized warehouse assitant, assembling and producing pieces for a company which makes ventilation ducts. In addition, I have also worked helping to manage and set up several events.

I chose this degree in order to have a wide range of opportunities when entering the job market, and to be able to do something I like and that makes me feel fulfilled at the end of the day; while also being connected to the nutrition field, since it is vital for developing our lives correctly, as some people eat up to five or six times a day.
