Britain was victorious.</li><li>Battle of the Pyramids - Fought on July 21, 1798 during the French Invasion of Egypt. Wiped out almost the entire army of the Mamluks. Abolished British trade routes. France was victorious.</li><li>Battle of Smolensk - First major battle of the French invasion of Russia. Ended with a costly and unsuccessful attack on walls of Smolensk.
