On Writing: I've always enjoyed composition and journaling when I was younger. In high school, I would always write last minute papers and would never revise them. I found out quickly in undergrad that this was not the best strategy. Now that I am writing more technical and scientific pieces for publication, I am still struggling to be cohesive, yet concise. I enjoy metaphors, flowing descriptive imagery, and attempts at humor. I find that I write best in pieces with lots of revision.

On Writing: When I was little I was very fond reading and writing. But as time went on I became less and less interested and less and less skilled at it. I do not think of it as a
nusiance but a struggle when it comes down to crunch time to write a essay for an important grade. What I do enjoy about writing is when I fully understand the prompt and the subject so I can clearly and concisely write out my thoughts instead of forcing something to write. I most certainly like doing research papers because those are the easiest due to the fact that they are all fact based and research based. Writing: I've always been one to write first sloppily, then go through it a second time and replace everything with a better version. I tend to make my first drafts solely about getting the main idea I'm trying to convey down on paper. On the second run-through of my paper I try to make it seem like I have an actual english education. I don't do too much writing on my own time, especially creative type works. On Writing: I personally do not enjoy writing. Throughout my high school career, I struggled with having my pieces flow in a harmonious manner, transitioning between paragraphs, and in general trying to display my true thoughts on the topic. Although I took multiple higher level English courses in high school, I continue believing my work does not meet college standards. When I create a composition, I think about the basics of what I am going to write and create a rough draft. Afterwards, I revise the work and try and make it sound more professional. On Writing:
I've always had a general interest in writing. I don't write as a hobby, but when I am reflecting or doing research for a class/project, I really enjoy seeing how an idea in my head can be transformed into an entire essay or research paper. Last year, I took a music writing intensive course. I had to learn to write about music, when previously I had expressed my thoughts and ideas through performance. It was really eye opening in terms of having to describe music with words, rather than with sound. On writing:
I enjoy writing, especially journal writing. I usually make an outline or list of ideas on paper before I write, and then start on the body paragraphs before the introduction. I then usually revise it two or more times, including asking a peer (probably will end up being my roommate) to revise my paper. I consider myself to be very good at grammar and sentence fluency, as well as editing other people's papers.

On Writing: I really only write when I intend someone else to read it. I always write as if the reader is incredibly board of reading and need to read something that can make them laugh at least once. On Writing: I have always enjoyed writing. I have taken multiple courses in creative writing and have recently mastered APA style papers. Learning to write in APA was a challenge, but I found that adapting to a different style helped me to refine my skills as a writer. I hope to one day publish something of my own.

On Writing: I've always had no interest in writing. Writing in english was a huge challenge for me because english was my second language. Collecting data, analyzing and then interpreting that data into an organized, formal paper is very informative and I feel like I learn a lot about the subject.
