Embracing change:
I think that being open and honest is the key to helping others to embrace change.
being honest and ready to talk to employees give the sense of security in the moments of uncertainty.

lying of being dishonest will tell your employees or other people that they can not trust you, so why would they then choose to follow.
I believe a great leader fails in their attempts sometime and being honest about this creates trust with your employees. we all follow the ones we trust and disengage with the not so honest. This is very true with everyday life as well

Kylie Hape

Embracing Change

I’d say it’s extremely important to be honest and transparent. Some of the changes I’ve been involved in have flowed much easier when either myself, or other staff have been given as much information as possible around a certain change. I’ve also seen the effects when change hasn’t been communicated in an open and honest way and this just leads to more resistance, low morale and there are always a few employees who stir the pot and affect other staff negatively. Being communicative and transparent helps grow trust and build better relationships. In my experience people just like to feel involved and included so when you talk to them and let them participate they will be more likely to embrace the change in a positive way.

Rachael - Embracing change.
From the perspective of a change maker I believe checking your ego plays a very important part of a successful change. Evaluating change is going to be hard work and to be honest there is always going to be that one person that tears strips off your well thought out idea of change. Stopping the change in its tracks because your ego is being taunted and you can't allow yourself to be open to negativity is wrong. If your change is important and you have the majority of support from employees and colleagues then stand up push that idea for change.

Its difficult to embrace a big change when all you hear is the 'what', the 'when' and the 'how'. For people to understand and embrace the concept, its important they know the 'why'. The why is the line that connects the dots, and connects the employee (or yourself) to the goal.
