Allows the offender to get a sense of community and become more part of the community. <br>Effectiveness - This can be effective, restorative justice reduced the requenncy of reoffending by 14%</div>]]></description>

The funds were returned through a trilateral agreement among the governments of the United States, Nigeria, and the Bailiwick of Jersey to repatriate assets that were traceable to the kleptocracy of former Nigerian dictator Sani Abacha.<br>Effectiveness - very effective in the fact that it can deter someone from doing something in losing assets </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Description of Punishment - Shock probation is when someone is sent to prison for a short time and then brought out of prison and the remainder of the sentence is suspended for probation. <br>Degree of Restrictiveness - kind of restrictive, but people are still able to get out of prison sooner<br>Real World Application - someone is tried in court and sent to prison, and then they get through out for going on probation and serving the rest of their sentence there. <br>Effectiveness - 71% of the responding departments rated shock probation as effective, 22 percent said they still need to evaluate the effectiveness, and 5 percent said it was not effective  </div>]]></description>
