I think it is safe to say that in todays society, money would be the biggest problem solver to every human as every necessity a human needs requires money, for the most basic human needs which are food, water and shelter, money is the one way to gain all those. Hence, money has become one of the most important thing for a human to live. There would be people who are lucky and privileged to have enough money, and some who have more than enough money they need, then there are some who would always want more than they already need. Which is how media evolved from the purpose to of spreading more information to other people around the world, to becoming just a big collection of massive, money making industries because most of the media we digest were made by specific people with specific pay checks. So if you were given a good pay, you would definitely do a better job in creating your content or work or product.

All types of media creation comes from some form of money. An example that I can think of after watching the video, canva. It may seem to be so accessible as it’s free, you can use it however you want. But you first need the network connection to even access the website, you will also need a device to be able to use canva, and to be able to access all of those before canva, you would need money to get them. Hence, this is how the media industry was dominated by financial concerns.

In todays world everything we own needs to be paid for thus showing that money is a big deal. Everyone will have different amount of money some more some less, thus not everyone is able to create media. But there is an acceptation where you can have someone else to pay for you to create media but that is very unlikely as people with money would want to put the money somewhere where they can benefit from. This will then limit the number of people that is able to enter the media industry.

Money is the largest deciding factor between media products and their audiences. Without money, media products would cease to exist as the whole point of media is to gain a profit by making money off their audience. Nowadays, everyone is able to make media by their own finances. If not , they'll have people to invest on them. However, the chances might be low as the investors would like to invest they're money in places where they can get higher profits.

Additionally, all types of media comes with some form of money. For example, we have to purchase some apps in order to use them whereas most of the apps are free. Moreover, the media earns a lot of money from advertisements.

For example, it will cost an amount of money to get the latest computer for editing. People that want to advertise their media product will also need money to advertise their product in all different mass media

I think that money has always been a very big factor when it comes to media. You need to hire quite a lot of people depending on form of media that is being done. Some medias such as movies, would prefer for famous actresses and actors to act in their movies, which would cost a lot more. Most investors would prefer to invest in these movies because they know that it would make a lot of money. Famous actresses and actors also won't simply join a random directors film which would also make the loop of media creators the same people. Media with famous people tends to do better because of their fanbase. However, this tends to come with a very big price tag which hence shows how important money is.

Money is one of the dominating factor when it comes to media. Like what we all do, we pay to use media in one form or another. From the gadget and devices that is required to get us involved in media to purchases for paid contents like movies, games, music subscription etc. We also often over look what’s behind the scenes of this media, the making of or the development. Just for reference, to make a good film, a professional film making crew, well known actresses and a proper venue are all the qualities to make the film spark ever so slightly, attracting more viewers. It’s also the same for the other hand, a budget film with minimal spending cause the film to be less attractive. In conclusion, it all comes down to where it starts, allowing company with huge backing a big advantage.

All types of media creation requires money. Media is the foundation of our culture and it's a huge money making industry. The media we see today was paid for by a specific organization or person with specific purposes that fit their criterias. The media has many layers just like an onion. It has levels and tiers which starts from the consumers being all the way at the bottom and leads up to the rich people that have the power to influence the media creators. Media has a vicious cycle where the rich just gets richer. Those that already made plenty of profit are gaining even more profit. They don't listen to the small voices even though they have good ideas. The rich people are gatekeeping the cultural power. The media is dominated by rich white men and most of the creations they put out to the public is to satisfy their targeted audiences. They focus on the profit more than the consequences of their product. The creator/media tends to oversimplify things because they aim for efficiency to gain more profit rather than focusing on the good and bad consequences of their product to society. Representation and inclusivity in media is important because stereotypical depictions put out by the media may harm the publics view on things for example stereotypes of gay men and minorities which could lead to homophobia and racism.

All types of media creation requires money. From the gadgets that are used to the process of creating a specific media and publishing it. This is why it is usually people who already have money creating media. They would put their money somewhere they feel confident will make them more money, that is people who have had success making money through creating media.

Money is the main influence for media. Media is made by people or groups with their choices and decision based on their experiences. Media have a lot of factors of why they are made. Some people think this way and some think that. "Purpose" is the why of media ,while "what" is the focus. Media also has a limited space for them to work so there could be a harsh truth behind them. When a media is created sometimes becuz of money it heavily influences the outcome of the message.

The media is created and constructed by someone. Because all forms of media creation require some form of money, each piece of media is made on purpose. Each depiction is a choice made by the author, sometimes for financial motives, and it can have a favourable or negative impact on how we think. The media has the ability to manipulate people. Governments, for example, use monies from their own budgets or state-owned firms to sponsor social campaigns and promote the products and services of the companies they own. In reality, they utilise this money to buy favours from the media and journalistic organisations. People who refuse to pay for advertisements in certain media outlets, particularly smaller, independent ones, in many nations end up killing them by refusing to buy them.

Money and Media, they are correlated in more aspects than we can imagine. In today’s day, it is vital that we all have access to money for a living and similarly, media is at a constant pace of evolving with the money status of the content creators. Money is one of the major factors that is a necessity for creating media. It is in fact shockingly interesting on how much money and steps actually goes into making a movie before it even reaches our screens, even before a video game gets to the store or a daily newspaper gets onto our doorsteps. Having said that, media is emerged and made by someone who is constructing a whole platform of content for their viewers. And it is no surprise that it costs a lot of money to get on with the stern plan for bringing out the content to the audiences or viewers. Media has more influence on us than we ought it to be, for instance, how gay people are portrayed by the content creators and how similar and influential they tend to be which again is possible because of money. We redesign our minds based on the portals shown on screen despite of us knowing how diverse the concept can really be, and this is perhaps possible because of the influence we have from media which again is possible due to the money status of the content creators or movie makers. Furthermore, media is created to make more money and this is a loop that goes on and on because the viewers are always infused by the stereotypes shows that is also used by mainstream media. Hence, money and media are a constant in more aspects than we are exposed towards, nevertheless, it is very interesting.

When creating a movie or a type of entertainment, people have a lot of ideas how to improve different media and consumers needs, but the very big problem is the fact where the money will come from and whether it fits within their budget. From the people they need to hire to the equipments that have to use. Money is needed everywhere in media even in newspaper or books.

Like most things in the world, media is not an exception when it comes to requiring money in order to thrive. Money plays a significant role in all types of media creations which is why wealthy people who have the means to create media are the ones dominating the industry. For instance, in the film industry, you can really see how the rich and powerful produce blockbusters whereas the average people do not. This is due to the fact that these rich and powerful directors, mostly men, have the resources and means to hire professional actors and actresses, better equipment and marketing deals. They are the ones racking big bucks as their productions are almost confirmed to be seen by the general public. These instances are extremely common and proves the saying " the rich get richer ". This never-ending cycle will not stop anytime soon as the sad truth is that the world revolves around money in order to flourish.

Due to the nature of capitalism, every industry is powered by profit. Different types of media are created for different purposes, like education or entertainment, but all of them eventually trace back to making money.

This leads to issues like a very one-sided depiction of the world portrayed in media. What I found interesting was the catch-22 when it comes to trying to improve representation and diversity in media. For example, if a movie studio wants to film a movie, they would want to hire a competent director like Christopher Nolan or Steven Spielberg in order to maximize the success and therefore sales of the movie. Hiring a different, lesser-known director is a risk and it may not turn as much of a profit. Therefore, the ideas represented in the movie wouldn't be very diverse as the same few directors will always be the ones being called upon.

Basically, mass media is dominated by creators who are successful. To be successful you would need to make a lot of money. But to make a lot of money... You would have to be successful enough to be given the chance...

This is the vicious cycle that prevents unique perspectives and impactful change from reaching mass media.

Fortunately, awareness about diversification has been increasing recently. Take Marvel for example, in 2018 they released Black Panther, a revolutionary film that consisted mostly of Black cast and crew members. Last year, they released Shang-Chi which introduced a plethora of Chinese talents and traditions to the world.

The fact that the industry is starting to take risks and give chances to lesser-known creators is definitely a step in the right direction.

Creating all sorts of media requires money and by creating it they can gain more money. Since it requires a lot of money, only people who have money can afford it but they can produce it if they have investors. Having people to invest in their movie or media content, means they need to produce something promising that is profitable. Media producers will make the decision on what to create based on life experiences, preferences and money. But money can override the first two factors when the main purpose of creating it is to make profit. This creates the cycle that prevents different voices from creating different kinds of media. They tend to stick to the same narrative or representation that proven can attract the consumers attention. They kept it the same as those familiar stereotypes can be used in mainstream media without ruffling too many conservatives feathers. Taking risk by creating something different might affect the media reputation and eventually push consumers away making it a flop media. However, with the power of social media today, we can see that consumers’ voices who want changes can be heard.

When it comes to media, money comes first. We need money to create media. Those huge mass medias such as movie, tv shows, or publishing a newspaper requires a very high budget. Because of that, the media industry is dominated by the wealthy because they have access to all the resources needed to produce a certain media. Those who are rich will often spend money on people and things that can bring them more profit in the media industry. They invest in people or groups of people with experience making profitable medias, which are usually people who had the money to make media. This suppresses the ideas of the minorities as media creators tend to produce medias for an audience that they know could generate profit. This allows the same idea to be presented as it creates a cycle that prevents different voices from creating different kinds of media, which keeps cultural power in the hands of a few.

The media industry originates from people who have the capability to create such films and forms of communications which is considerably a very long process that would not be possible if they did not have the money for it in the first place. Much of what we see in the media has always been similar and viewed in a way we consumers can 'relate' to, however what is presented as relatable is deeply based on the stereotypes from people who dominate the media industry, which is typically a white male with high power and status. Due to the outdated stereotypes and repetitive topics being brought up in the media, the minority who do not conform and relate to the stereotypes would also produce more indie ideas that would break the cycle of the repetitive productions made by the white males who were unable to properly relate to the minority, such as the LGBTQ community, the problems women face, people of colour and etc. Most of the time, these indie films meant to target the minorities will always be considered 'indie' and will never be as high-profiled or well-known compared to the other Hollywood movies. This is mainly because it all stems from the idea of the financial perspective holding all the cards in the media industry. It is very difficult for the minority to get the finance needed to produce the media they would like to share to the world, as most of the time the people who invest and patronize would choose the more common media that the majority relates to since it is cheap and easy to produce. However, the project they invest in already have enough finance from their previous projects, therefore creating a cycle that would be very difficult to break. Most of the time, people would choose to stick to the basics and choose not to venture into more complex ideas as it is out of their comfort zone.

The media industry relies heavily on money, as seen in the creation of media where say a movie needs people to film, people to make the set, people to setup the set, people to act, people to direct and much more. Media products aren't just made purely for entertainment, they are made for profit as well, which would mean that media creators generally tend to focus more on gaining an audience, therefore including stereotypes and/or controversial topics such as racism and other forms of misogyny.

The video explains that people with lots of money have the ability to manipulate media. They can do this by investing in the creation of media that fit their ideology. This is how the ideas of stereotypes are kept going. The media is allowing such things to be kept around. Media is also used to make money. If you have can invest in the right media project you can earn yourself lots of money. This can motivate people to make media that can sell well. This can include using established stereotypes. Using something like this is easy as the consumer’s brain would not think too much into it and continue perpetuating that stereotype in their mind. These stereotypes can include racism, sexism and religion.

Money is one of the most important factors of media. All the media created requires some amount of money, some require just a little amount of money and others may require a lot of money in order to create the preferred type of media. The media industry does not only serve a purpose to make money and entertain, some media are made to bring up important topics and encourage cultural conversations. Other than purpose, the media also has its focus. Focus is the topic or subject that is included and excluded from the media created. We as media literalists need to be aware of the things that media portrays because it is created by men with money and they can choose to only focus on the good side of it. For example, when a can of soda is advertised, they don’t focus on the sugar intake of the can of soda, they only advertise it to look delicious and thirst-wrenching so that we will buy it. Media representation is also dangerous as it only focuses on stereotypical depictions. This is because shows written about a group of people that are not commonly depicted by society requires a lot of time and money. At the end of the day, the creation of media depends on money, who has it and where they want to spend it.

When talking about the capitalist society we live in, it is true that Money is one of, if not the most, strongest driving factors for industries of the modern world- including the media industry. Its hard to fathom how manipulative the mass media has become.
All types of media have one thing in common, they require money to be produced/made/created. From hiring actors and actresses to act and promote, to getting gadgets such as Cameras and lights, all of them requires money. Therefore, media can only be created and controlled by people who have already broken a certain monetary barrier, for ex: straight white billionaires who invest heavily in media since its a lucrative market that has reliable profits. Thus, a certain monopoly is established where only people with money can create and control media.

As often as we address media as 'the media's, there really isn't a monolithic entity that encapsulates and controls all media. In truth, media in general is controlled by money. Money is required to create media, and hence to continue making media, media/content creators have to maximize the money or revenue they obtain from each piece of media they create. One way media creators such as filmmakers and scriptwriters do this is by using stereotypes. Stereotypes, such as the 'gay bff' stereotype, are familiar to more of the audience. As these stereotypes are familiar, more of the audience is comfortable with the media. Hence, more revenue is generated as viewer retention and popularity are higher, as compared to media without stereotypes in which new concepts may alienate viewers.
