We can see what they did wrong and right making the changes very historically significant. For example Cambyses II was a cruel leader who was in power for 3 years but followed by Darius I a gentile kind leader who ruled for 10 years.  These changes in styles of ruling shows what worked for this society and how the people responded.
-Not only was the style of leadership change significant but also what they did while they were in power.  Some rulers were building and restoring (Hakor) while other tried to conquer the world (Alexander).
