When a period of time passes in which I have already seen a lot about the English language, my teacher gives me a test to see how much I have learned about the language.

I've experimented with different types of assessment such as a formative, summative, placement, or diagnostic test. One of them is the formative assessment in which the teacher provides me feedback about an activity and I'm able to identify and correct mistakes in the exercise so I can improve my skills. Also I've been involved with the diagnostic test before to enter to the University which is very common.

A recent experience related to assessment for learning was back in my english VII clases. The activity I had to do was peer feedback and this happened with every writing excercise. An even most recent experience with assessment was with my FCE exam. This exam is clear example of standarized assessment becuase my proficiency was evaluated in order to assign me a grade and a level.

I think I have experimented with different type of assessment. Some examples that I can mention are the placement tests to be in the proper English class, the diagnostic test to identify my individual strengths and weaknesses in almost all my classes at the beginning of the course. The most common is the formative test because I have received feedback based on my activities in order to improve. Finally I think that the summative test is necessary and I can even say that most of the student have experimented with this type of assessment at the end of a curse to provide the knowledge that they have acquired.

I'm sure that I have experimented most types of assessment. One of them is direct assessment, I remember many times that the professor has asked me to speak in front of him on any subject and without knowing it the professor had been evaluating me. I've never liked speaking in public, but knowing that I'm being evaluated is worse.
Another type of assessment that I have experienced is the self-assessment in which I had to evaluate a sample class that I gave to my group. To be honest the first time I did it, I didn't know what rating to give me, I thought that if the rating was too high or too low, I was lying.
Finally, and I believe that the most common type of assessment that I have experienced is indirect assessment, in which they used a test to assess me.

I reckon the placement test is the one which I have been more related with because of different courses I have attended, I know how they work and all the times I try to be very honest answering them in order to be placed in the correct level. The formative test is other kind of assessment I am related to, during the english courses teachers try to know how to help us in order to improve, they gave us feedback and with this information we can learn even faster.

I think I have been in contact with most of this types of assessment during my educational life. When I joined to the University I had a placement test to determine in which class I have to stay according with my English level. I've had the diagnostic test every time I enter to a new course to identify my strengths and weaknesses. In english class the teachers use formative assessment and provide me feedback to improve my skills, Summative is used at the end of the course to determine what I have learned sometimes I feel stressed, I don't like it,

I’ve had experience with almost all of them, I can remember when in our first week at the University we had to take a Placement test to determine our level in the language. If I’m not wrong, it was a multiple choice test. And the Summative test, at the end of every partial I have to take this test, with this the teacher can know if I learned and decide if I can pass the course. I think these tests can be very stressful but they are really important during our learning process.

That assessment was Placement Assessment, my coordinator, in that moment, gave us an test to assing us an appropiate level of English and I was scared because I did not speak English.
When I was in High School, a teacher gave us an test so that she would know our weaknesses in the language, that assesment was Diagnostic Assessment.
the most common assessment is Summative Assessment, at the university exists a test called "Ordinary test" this a good example of summative assessment because in English Class this test is very important because it is the half of the final grade, in this exam we reflect our knowledge we adquire throughout the course.

I'd say that I've experienced all of them. Noy being concious of it, but I've had. Specially with the Criterion-Referencing. Learning languages implies being involved with this kind of assessment. I remember a lot when I was in English VII, well I'm there now hehe, but back in those days, I was preparing for the FCE. During the preparation I've also experienced other types of assessment like self-assessment and assessment by others. Whenever we had to do a reading task or a writing task.
