I think when it comes to AI art, for me I don't mind it too much. For me as long as it looks good im fine with it. If it was based off a person and then that person had like 3 fingers badly generated then I dont think I'd like that. But if it was something like a sunset or water fall it might turn out better.

If you give an ai generator a prompt, that is not art. It is like telling someone to draw something for you. It is not your art, it is that ai's art. BUT, if you grab multiple ai generated images and combine them and/or edit them to a graphic, that is your art. A lot of graphic design is taking things from the word and making it our own. I do that sometimes with my own work at home. I'll sometimes take an ai generated background but use other graphics for the rest of the image. I think AI is really cool and amazing but if you are going to call something YOUR art, it can't all be done just by the ai unless you built the ai from the ground up. By that I mean you taught it or literally built it

I think that AI art is absolutely terrible. One of the most valuable aspects of art is that humans create it. The ideas and process are so human when it comes to art. AI art is not art. Another thing about AI art is that AI learns by using a ton of pictures as references. If I wanted to generate a picture in the style of a specific artist with AI, and it uses art from the artist to make a picture, is that stealing? One last thing about AI is that it's taking jobs that everyone in this class could have had. I understand using it to generate a reference for your own art, but I don't think that justifies it for me. AI needs to be eliminated from the world.

I am strongly against AI art for a myriad of reasons.

One reason is that it's made of, essentially, stolen art most (if not all) the time AI-generated images need to find sources to reference off of, and when it comes to art, that source is straight from the internet (Google, X, Pintrest, etc.) and usually without the permission of the artist (even when they do give permission its usually against their will or because they need to agree to use the site).

Another reason is that of the way AI generates images to begin with, from my knowledge at least, AI takes images and finds the most recurring/average thing that relates to the prompt, making the image itself the "average image" you'd find about that prompt, instead of a unique and creative interpretation.

Finally, the last reason (I will list) is that it takes people's job and overall looks bad if not cheap, you've probably heard/read/seen how AI takes artists jobs just so a company can save a penny and not pay artists, and most of the time, the "art" the AI makes just looks bad and cheap.

Like most artists, I am against AI art. It has started developing in a way that takes jobs from real artists and designers because people think it is more convenient to generate something for free. Although it is convenient, it replaces actual people trying to do their job and loses authenticity. For instance, if a company uses an AI logo, many people may be immediately turned away from it. Their company can now be viewed as unethical, lazy, and lacking character. AI art in general lacks the soul and emotion that real artists put into their creations.

I don't stand with AI art (specifically) because it ruins the hard work a human usually puts into drawing, which loses its excitement and creativity. AI art is soulless and too perfect that it looks uncanny in a bad way. I prefer my art to have more personality. But AI in general (like responses), I find actually helpful. AI can help generate ideas and prompts for you if you are in a yucky burnout or art block, and if you want to draw or write something so badly. You can take CONCEPTS of a prompt or idea it generates, but still make it your own with your OWN details.

I am very much against AI generated art, because it's has been proving that AI generative websites and apps use already exciting images of art and photographs out there, and I think that is basically stealing art from other people. I also personally think that when something is made by AI you can tell how soulless it is, you can't really feel anything from it because it was made by a person using raw emotion to make said art. Whenever I look at art made by a person I can almost feel what they were feeling while making the piece or at least infer what they were feeling but, with AI, I don't feel anything, their is no emotion and the emotion is one of the best parts of making art.

Ai art is souless garbage used by those who are too lazy and uncreative to make real art. Art requires creativity, a thought process, and meaning, no matter how small or big it is. Ai art cannot create meaning, even if told to. The pixels it lays down have no reason to be there besides the fact most art puts those pixels there. Ai art cannot create art with purpose, and so it can only take true purposeful art and smash them together in hopes of being able to mass produce art. Art isn't just about being pleasing to the eye, it's so much more than that! And Ai art is incredibly dangerous because even though it's souless, it's easy to do and requires less money that paying a real artist. And it is incredibly impactful, even in the smallest places. Even if you use ai just to generate a logo, you stole the soul out of someone who could have created you a real logo that matches your business aesthetics. If you use ai to make a background for your phone, you stole the soul out of someone who would have created a background tailored to your personality. Even if it's of lowest quality, real art will always be superior over ai art.

I am STRONGLY against AI of any sort. It has no soul of any sort and lacks the creative knowledge to even make a good image. It's even been stated to STEAL other artists art for "inspiration" to make something that has no sense of accomplishment. It's a waste of power and is used to intimidate real effort made by those willing to actually learn the skill of drawing and animating. With AI art all you do is type a sentence and it kills the purpose of hundreds of hours put in to draw something. Companies also use it when they want to save money and make something half-done and soulless like always. It's not small companies that do it either it's always big corporations that use AI "art" just to put more money in their pockets instead of actual artists who were willing to do SOMETHING. AI art is the bane of creativity. There's even the problem with how it destroys the environment and it's starting to expand into acting too, which is another kind of art. As of recently, a studio made something called "Tilly Northwood" to replace real actors. This problem does not extend just to digital art but soon it'll evolve to challenge every form of labor. But the people behind the screens using said tools are just as braindead and unimaginative as the machines they make. They fill themselves with such pride knowing that they can "create just as much as artists" when in actuality they didn't even bother to pick up an art book OR took time and actual effort to make it. If you feel called out, GOOD. So I speak for a lot of people when I say that AI is nothing more than a pile of code that has no soul, no purpose, and no fraction of a sense of creativity. All it's meant to do is mimic what humans are capable of even though it never HAVE and it never WILL and if it even thinks it does it's wrong in every shape and form. Robots are nothing to humans. END. OF. STORY.

Although Ai is significantly easy to use and can literally make things we struggle to make on a daily in no time. However, on the art side of things i believe AI should not be used. I Agree with Caleb J, Ai is a very smart computer system but it lacks the actual creativeness and The value and soul of a consciousness being, Ai can only do and tell you so much. Ai will soon become significantly boring, making many people lazy. We already have figured so much out about Ai . i am sure many wonder why not let Ai, Just Do its Ai thing?. Again, On the artistic side of things i personally would not use Ai. i love creating things myself and im sure lots of people love creating there artwork by hand showing the actual value it has and the work ethic you have and what you can do that Ai cannot.
