ANSWER: 
Hey there! I'm interested in what your driving question is. We can discuss it in details what it is you want to create. You can create a part of the whole, or you can explore the option of a model/miniature with all the right intention/function in mind. 

A model has to work/operable in the first place for an actual body/entity/structure to work anyway. 

So I'm suggestion that you think about a model you can make in class, or a part of the whole you can design or make in class.
