Du Bois viewed education as a staple that should broaden children’s horizons.  His influence of including African American history into education was also a priority for him.  I find it essential for history to cover all aspects of views and race to allow students to see the big picture of the world.  When we only educate our own race, it’s a form of prejudice that should not be permitted.  There are too many incidents in history that should not be ignored.
