         <description><![CDATA[<p><strong>Tool Name:</strong> Canva</p><p><br/></p><p><strong>Description:</strong>  Canva for Education is a free, web-based design platform specifically designed for K-12 teachers and students. It offers a user-friendly interface with drag-and-drop features, making it easy for students of all ages to create engaging visual content.</p><p><br/></p><p><strong>Subject Area Suitability:</strong>  Due to its versatility, Canva can be a valuable tool across various K-12 subject areas. This tool can be used to create presentations, infographics, storyboards, book covers, designing charts and graphs, design posters, create timelines, and record and edit video projects.</p><p><br/></p><p><strong>Grade Level Applicability:  </strong>Canva is applicable to all grade levels, from elementary to high school. The user interface is intuitive and visual enough and for younger students with basic computer skills, while the advanced features offer complexity for older students.</p><p><br/></p><p><strong>Key Features Relevant to Learning Activities:</strong>  Canva offers a large library of pre-designed templates for presentations, worksheets, posters, and infographics. The drag-and-drop interface makes it easy for students to add text, images, and other design elements to their creations. Fostering creativity and allowing students to focus on the content rather than technical aspects of design. Students can work together on projects in real-time using the collaboration features. Canva for Education offers a safe learning environment with FERPA, COPPA, and GDPR compliance. It also provides school-appropriate content and requires parental consent for students under 13. Canva also integrates with LMS platforms like Google Classroom and Schoology, allowing for easy assignment creation, sharing, and feedback.</p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>Description: Breakout EDU helps students of all grade levels learn by solving clues to a mystery that deal with concepts they are reviewing or need to know.</p><p><br/></p><p>Subject Area Suitability: Includes all the core subjects, Art, Library, Career Development, etc. </p><p><br/></p><p>Grade Level Applicability: PreK-Adult; there are even games to help educators during professional development meetings. </p><p><br/></p><p>Key Features Relevant to Learning Activities: There are both Digital and Kit games that meet the needs of various classrooms. These can either be played as a class or assigned individually. There are even seasonal/holiday games to help learn about other cultures and traditions. They have even launched a Breakout + which I do not know a lot about yet, but want to in the near future. </p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>Description: edpuzzle enables students to watch an interactive video while learning key content and checking for comprehension. </p><p><br/></p><p>Subject Area Suitability: Core subjects, as well as world languages and technology and engineering </p><p><br/></p><p>Grade Level Applicability: PreK-College levels</p><p><br/></p><p>Key Features Relevant to Learning Activities: This platform has many advantages for both teachers and students. Teachers are able to grade most assignments in a timely manner and there are many videos to choose from that pertain to a variety of concepts. For students, it gives them a way to learn in a fun, innovative setting.   </p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>Description: Pobble is a free website that gives students a daily prompt and then they are given time to complete the story using their creativity and writing skills. There is also a paid version which gives more tools to help students learn using prepared lessons.  </p><p><br/></p><p>Subject Area Suitability: ELA, Handwriting, Science, and Social Studies</p><p><br/></p><p>Grade Level Applicability: Advanced 2nd gr.-some high school creative writing classes</p><p><br/></p><p>Key Features Relevant to Learning Activities: Students will learn and use vocabulary, punctuation, and sentence skills as they finish the story using their creative imagination. They can even take it a step further using the SAMR method and practice peer editing and publishing their story. I have used this as a Reading center because it also helps them practice their reading skills. If you want more than just the daily prompts, there are individual as well as school subscriptions. </p>]]></description>

Students can organize, calculate, and analyze information with formulas, charts, tables, and pivot tables. It's interactive features allow students to see many what-if scenarios and real world problems. </p><p>Subject Area Suitability: Excel is suitable for a wide range of subjects including mathematics, science, economics, business, and technology courses. It can be very useful for any discipline that involves data management, statistical analysis, and financial calculations. Excel offers students a chance to use tools and make presentations the way professionals would. </p><p>Grade level applicability:</p><p>Excel is applicable for middle school to higher education and even used in many professions. Middle and high school students can use it for basic data entry and graphing. Statistic students can use it to do higher level statistical analysis and experiments. Business classes can use it to make business plans, keep track of stock, and more. </p><p>Key features Relevant to learning Activities: Key features of Excel relevant to learning actives in a math classroom would include its ability to create and use formulas for calculations, generate charts and graphs, and use pivot tables. Excel also has what-if scenario technology that makes equations and graphs  interactive making it easy to change independent variable amounts using a slider to show cause and effect relationships. </p><p><br/></p><p><br/></p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>Tool Name: Desmos</p><p>Brief Description: Desmos is an advanced online calculator that allows users to plot functions, create tables, and explore equations dynamically. It is widely used in math classrooms and has many premade activities for teachers to use for free in their classroom. </p><p>Subject Area Suitability: Desmos is ideal for a mathematics class including algebra, geometry, calculus, and trigonometry. It can occasionally be sued for physics and engineering courses where graphing and modeling is required. </p><p>Grade Level Applicability: Desmos is suitable for students in middle school through college. Middle and highschooler students can use it to learn basic graphing skills, algebraic concepts, and they can also explore more complex functions in calculus. Desmos has many activities for teachers to use in their classroom including interactive transformation practice, graphing practice, explorations, and so much more. </p><p>Key Features Relevant to Learning Activities: Key features of Desmos relevant to learning activities include but are not limited to interactive graphing, sliders for dynamic manipulation of variables, and the ability to create and share custom activities and stimulations. Blooket has a large variety of quizzes that meet the requirements of all subjects.</p><p><br/></p><p>Grade Level Applicability: Blooket is applicable to grade levels starting from elementary school all the way through high school. The different variety of quiz modes makes it suitable for all grade levels.</p><p><br/></p><p>Key Features Relevant to Learning: The key feature of Blooket is the variety of different game modes that meet the needs of all students.
