During my infancy, my self-concept was mainly shaped by my physical self, as I was described by my mother as a calm baby who rarely cried and enjoyed being held. In terms of the social self, I was closely attached to my primary caregivers, especially my mother and father, and felt secure when surrounded by familiar faces. According to my mother, my early habits included being easily soothed by gentle voices and developing curiosity through observing my surroundings, which reflected the early formation of my emotional and psychological self.

EARLY CHILDHOOD

During my toddler years, my physical and social self were very active as I learned to walk and play with others, showing a lot of energy and a friendly spirit. I was always curious and loved exploring my surroundings, whether I was splashing in the water or swinging outside. My emotional and psychological self grew through my early interests in dancing, toys, and colorful parties like my 2nd birthday. I expressed my feelings through happy smiles when I discovered something new, though I sometimes felt frustrated when I couldn't say exactly what I wanted.

My emotional and psychological self were characterized through my moving up, where I felt happy and accomplished when surrounded by supportive family and teachers. I was born on August 29, 2008, at Ricardo Limso Hospital, Davao City. My roots run deep through Cebuano, Ilonggo, Waray, and Chavacano. I currently reside in Binugao, Toril, Davao City, with my parents.

I am currently 17, a Virgo, and an INTJ girly! My friends, classmates, and colleagues often call me “Ash,” and my family calls me “Kai”. I am comfortable being called with any nicknames you prefer, just don’t ever address me with my second name.

Yes, the subject Personal Development was very helpful to me because it allowed me to better understand my strengths, weaknesses, and values. It guided me in reflecting on my goals and how my decisions affect my future. Through different activities and lessons, I became more aware of my emotions and behavior. Overall, it helped me build self-confidence and a clearer sense of direction in life.
My first key takeaway is the importance of self-awareness in making better decisions and improving myself. My second takeaway is that personal growth is a continuous process that requires discipline and effort. These lessons taught me that success depends not only on skills but also on mindset and attitude.
My favorite topics were Emotional Intelligence and Powers of the Mind. Emotional Intelligence helped me understand how to manage my emotions and interact better with others, especially in stressful situations. On the other hand, Powers of the Mind taught me how my thoughts can influence my actions and outcomes. Both topics are important because they help me improve myself mentally and emotionally.
