Another difference is in the Outsiders they are a little older and do   of more bad things than the kids in Lord of the flies.

What did it represent in the novel?) The theme I chose was Jacks mask because it is a prominent throughout Lord of the Flies as it accompanies his descent into violence and savagery. This use of hiding behind a mask while doing harm to others is also an issue in real life, as it is present in cyber bullying. In the novel the mask represents jack being a stranger, it liberates him from his sense of self.

This is a good punishment because the juvenile Law Center opposes the treatment of youth as adults, the juvenile justice system, designed to emphasize rehabilitation over punishment, is better suited to meet youth’s needs .
