E.coli is the main cause but other microorganisms such as Proteus, Enterobacter, Klebsiella and Candida have also been identified as organisms causing bladder infection. The helminth Schistosoma haematobium has also been associated with bladder infections.<br>Pyelonephritis is referred to as a kidney infection and is serious which can cause extenstive and permanent damage to the kidneys. </div>]]></description>
