The Congo people were basically slaves for King Leopold, and collected rubber for his benefits, and had their hands cut off if they tried to escape. Despite this, they should've faught harder for their right of freedom, and in the end if they had all teamed up they probably could have beaten the King because he was only one person. They could've used the rubber to their advantage and start making weapons when they were alone.
