This Google Earth Tour could be used to communicate self-selected information share how the student wishes to present to the world. Our presentation was limited to what could be shared presented. Using Google Earth makes the content easily accessible. The unique content would allow for purposeful content that would assist in deeper understanding in student learning.

I would use Google Earth Tours in partners with junior students in a the areas of media, math, social studies, science and writing, in a project base learning style that would have a constructiveness style. Another example for using Google Earth Tours could be use it for The Series Seven, by Eric Walters, a novel study unit I taught with my grade 7 class. I would see the connections between the curriculum with learning about the globe, mapping the landscape, weather, and more. With the math you could track the distance and time it takes to travel on a journey once the students have finished their tour. You could model one and the class collaborate on a tour to figure out the math later. It would be good to layer the cultural aspects of the places visited on the tour. You could have others do the tour at a different time or during the war. There are so many possibilities that the students should be given some voice in what they want to do and how they share the learning with the class. Using Google Earth Tours as a digital story telling tool is above the line in the SAMAR, is going to overlap hitting the sweet spot in the TPACK and definitely makes the teacher, Re-Think what we learn, How we learn, and with WHO." said perfectly by Mitchel Resnick. This is why I really wanted to be able to easily share the Google Earth Tour to social media like Twitter and a class Blog!!! That was important to me to be able to use the tool the way I felt it needs to be shared with the Global community.

Using my Google Earth Tour to generate math questions as a real authentic learning task. I could show this Google Earth tour and ask them to pick where they wish to go with a partner. Then let the calculations begin! Distance, the time to get there by plane, cost and more. They could generate their own tour for a real purpose. Like to visit family or to go on a trip. Think of the math this uncovers!!! Yet engaging and using the tech for a purpose. I would model this using my Google Earth then it depends on the students would they create their own in partners, or independently. This would depend on many factors of the specific make up of the students that year.
