This time we collected many leaves, barks from our trees, wooden sticks, carobs from our carob tree, small stones and....cocoons of cicadas (this was the most interesting for the students but for me....yackkkk!!) We then put our nature treasure in a big glass jar and decorated it with autumn leaves!

Winter has arrived, bringing the opportunity to explore for one more time our love for animals! We learned about hibernation by reading many books and discovering how different animals prepare for winter. We focused on bears and we created a story with them. With colors and elements from nature, we crafted bear masks. We used our masks in theatrical games which was awesome!

As part of a fun and eco-friendly school activity, we reused plastic cups from a recent event and turned them into mini planters. Inside each cup, we placed cotton along with lentil and bean seeds. We watered them gently with just a little water and observed their growth day by day. It was exciting to watch the first tiny sprouts appear and grow taller. This simple experiment taught us about plant life and also reminded us of the importance of reusing materials and caring for our environment.

Then, they painted matching stones with sets of natural objects to represent each number. Through this creative activity, they practiced basic math skills like number recognition, matching and simple counting—all while having fun. We also created a digital game to share with our partners.
