Mr Turnbull,

We really need to do something about global warming. We can't just act like it doesn't exist because it's definitely happening. You can see the effects of it over in the east coast right now. Another example is the icecaps are melting and our sea is rising.

Some things we could do to take part in slowing down global warming and start doing our bit to help revive our precious land, is...
1. Charge customers for using a plastic bag and promote using reusable bags;
2. Educate people on what rubbish goes in what bin so we can recycle as much as possible;
3. Stop importing a high amount of goods from overseas that we are capable of making here;
4.

Dear Mr Turnbull,

Changes in the environment has been causing serious of problems to not only the animals and plants, but us as well. The environment is what supplies natural resources for everyone, assimilates water, helps sustain life by providing biological and genetic diversity. We can see that millions of individuals are coming together to help stop human impact, but it still is not enough. We can also see that the Australian Government aims to improve the environmental performance by providing advice, communication networks, and access to best practice environmental management techniques from around the world. I suggest that we make significant cost savings and increase efficiency by using an effective environmental management system (EMS), create more incentives and also leads by example.

Regards, Veronica.

Dear Malcolm,

Australia is known for its healthy citizens and and luscious green environment. However this will not be the case for much longer . To name a few of the ever current issues we have in Australia over fishing resulting in lacking in our unique marine wildlife, logging in the Karri forest in south Australia resulting in deforestation killing wildlife and last but not least the environmental impact of plastic bags.

These issues may seem complicated to over come but I email you to help achieve an enviromently friendly Australia. The simplest method to achieve such a goal is advertisement. Very rarely I see an advert about picking up litter, treating our wildlife with respect and definitely never have I seen an add about larger issues such as deforesion or pullution. A few adverts a day will surely be enough to pursuance fellow Australians to think twice before they do something that could potentially harm our nations home.

We need to encourage the use of environmentaly friendly recourses. I believe that the key to solving any issue is advertisement. Billboards, ads and events for like minded Australians trying to help he worldwe live in. I hope this email persuades you to push for a cleaner Australia.

Regards sam

Dear Mr Turnbull,
Due to human impact on the environment we are ruining our only home and chance of survival, if we do not change how we use our energy, resources and transportation then we and our environment will suffer.

Countries like China have brought in a one child per family rule trying to eliminate overpopulation, however in Australia we do not have this problem. Our issues are the care for global warming, pollution and energy usage.

Australia is surrounded by ocean as we are an island and yet we turn to ruining our oceans because our nation can not effectively use their water supply. Instead of turning to other resources our government needs to make water costs higher so we are made more aware of the issue. Another factor of our Australian culture is our heat intake, during the summer months, perth on average receives 265 days of sun so why does the government not implement rewards for households to purchase solar panels and disincentives for families who haven't? If this occurs then it will reduce our carbon emissions on a national level. Finally, with our growing country new generations want newer cars and better standards of living so why can we not have electric cars that will eventually lead onto solar cars. If we make petrol based cars more expensive and the price of petrol compared to gas more expensive then that will encourage younger and older generations to purchase more environmentally friendly cars.

If we all change something little in our lives then it can make a big difference.

Regards, Bella

Dear Mr Turnbull,

The Earth has had a major population growth over the last 10-20 years, and because of this we have required to many resources from the Earth for it to run sustainably. One of the biggest problems in Australia is the usage of fossil fuels such as coal to produce electricity. This is unsustainable and in coming years we are going to completely run out of these resources.

In order to prevent this depletion of our resources, we need to start taking action and use more renewable sources of energy. This may include promoting solar panels to Australian households, or creating more wind turbines and hydro power plants to create electricity. For example, in WA we have major wind farms in locations such as Bunbury, Kalbarri and multiple smaller farms which provide a large amount of energy, often times enough to power the whole city which they are located near.

Another way we......

Regards,
Oscar

Dear Mr Turnbull,

In the last few decades we have advanced economically so much so that the resources we have used can only last so much more decades. It's time to slow down, find alternatives. It's estimated that we have around 50 years worth of coal to keep on going, everyday Australia borrows millions to keep up with the fast economy of the mining business. When your generation is gone and our generation take the responsibilities of being an Australian adult, we'll be broke, resourceless, too hot and suffocating in pollution.

It's time to slow down and reduce the effects that we, Australia, have contributed to global warming. Our land and its animals deserve to thrive, our atmosphere needs to be clean and us younger generations shouldn't be responsible for living in a world that your generation and the generations before that ruined.

Instead of depleting our fossil fuels we need to reduce the use and find alternatives such as geothermal, wind, hydro power and solar to power our homes and businesses. We don't
need to clear our lands for easier access to fossil fuels. Instead of leaving our lands barren we should replant and replenish the environment. Promote the words to the nation 'reduce, reuse and recycle', provide incentives for the better alternatives -such as better Eco-friendly cars can be cheaper and more common-, educate workers and adults now the consequences of the green house effect. One last thing is to take action and confront the big mining businesses, increase the costs for manufacturing and make the pay more for releasing those harmful gases.

We need to stop now. Promote change. Because if we don't now, I won't have a world to live in. The world will increase its temperatures, animals will continue to die and the atmosphere will become more toxic.

Sincerely, Mia.
One little citizen of the world.

Dear Mr Turnbull,

Austalia causes lots of environmental destruction and something needs to be done about it. People need to be more aware and educated about what is happened get to our environment and how we are affecting it. Global warming, overfishing, deforestation, soil salinity and the amount of rubbish we use and throw away are all having an impact on our environment.

Some ways we could help people be aware of our environment is by educating them about what we are doing to our environment. We can put up posters with facts and statistics to show people what is happening to our environment. To reduce our effects on the environment we can stop using plastic bags, non recyclable and reusable goods. Instead of using plastic bags you can bring your own bags to bring home your shopping in or make every plastic bag you use cost money as a disincentive to use plastic bags.

We need to create a more sustainable environment. We need to start using more sources of renewable energy, for example hydroelectricity, solar power and wind turbines for electricity.

Using public transport is a good way to reduce fossil fuels, to encourage people to use public transport more often we can lower the price and increase the price of fuel for cars as an incentive.

Deforestation is also a major problem, we are destroying many native animals natural environment, this is causing many animals to become endangered. Once we lose a species of animal or plant, we cannot recreate it, this can have massive effects on our ecosystem and cause lasting effects on us and our natural environment.

Regards,
Lauren

Dear Mr Turnbull,
The earths population has seen a dramatic increase in the past few years. This increase in population has brought many environmental problems to our earth, one of these problems that we are facing is sustainability. Sustainability of us means that the world can continue to provide humans with their essential items for survival (needs). However humans doing things such as building cities and burning fossil fuels has decreased the earth's sustainability. I will outline a few changes that we can make in Australia to increase the earth's sustainibilty.

Firstly building cities has placed strain on the natural environment to produce our human needs. To improve this humans can try to fix this humans can try to preserve what's left of nature. This can be done by less deforestation and planting more trees.

Secondly burning fossil fuels has weakened the ozone layer creating global warming. To improve this humans can promote the Eco friendly products and use of less artificial chemicals.

Regards,
Josh

Dear Mr Turnbull,
There are many different ways the government can promote sustainable development. In today's environment there are many different issues such as Deforestation, The burning of fossil fuels and Climate Changes. These effects all have a dramatic effect on the environment that we need to change. Firstly, we need to address these issues to the public and explain the consequences if we do not take actions on these issues. With helping the environment we can teach people ways to help out. This includes, reducing the use of cars meaning it will reduce pollution in the atmosphere. We can promote the affects of climate change such as higher temperatures and more heat waves to show society what will and can happen if we do not address these issues. We can reduce deforestation by encourageing the community to come together and plant more trees in their yards or other land marks. All of these acts can improve a sustainable development but only if we take action

Sincerely,
Rearne Hughes

Dear Mr Turnbull,

The environment is something that we citizens need to protect and look after. However, with some serious situations that have happened over the course of a few years, we need to take action and start to look after the environment. So lets address the biggest problem that the world is facing.

Global Warming. There is no doubt that Global Warming is the biggest struggle that not only Australia, but the whole world is experiencing, even if it doesn't seem like it, Global Warming is happening and we have to start now if we have any chance to help Australia's environment. A few ways we can help is by using renewable products and using more public transport instead of our own cars to reduce the greenhouse gases. Global Warming is the main effect for the warmer climate and the melting ice caps and glaciers, which is causing the sea levels to rise, and we are the reason why it's getting worse and worse each year. I'm afraid that if we don't act now, there is no way that Australia will ever be sustainable as we want it to be. If we don't change the way people dispose their trash, what transportation they use and what manufactured goods they buy. We have no chance of helping Australia. So lets start now. Lets promote what is right and get rid of what is wrong. Tell people the alternative option to help our land and hope that by doing this our country become a little more sustainable then before.

Kindest Regards,
Krystal Jones

Dear Mr Turnbull,

This email is regarding to how we can promote sustainable development, Firstly we would have to take action about global warming, this extreame killer is showily wiping out poor countries like Bangladesh and soon Australia! If you really cared about the citizens of Australia you would take action immediately. Global warming isn't waiting for you to wake up Mr Turnbull. So, when you decide to take action we have to cut greenhouse gas emmitions and the use of fossil fuels, therefore meaning that we could slowly repair the ozone layer because there is a massive whole over Australia but this can be fixed if we act now! We can reduce dependence on synthetic chemicals that will continue to destroy our precocious land meaning that we reduce destruction in nature and making sure the we ensure that we are not stopping people from meeting the're needs.

I hope that you take these points into consideration quickly.

Kindest Regards,
Jessika Brooker

Dear Mr. Turnball,

Being sustainable allows us as citizens to have a better quality life for us and our future generations. We can do this by developing ways ways to ensure the Earths resources can be used and managed responsibly so they don't compromise the ability to meet our needs.

Some of the ways we can promote sustainability are:

- educating people about what is currently happening to our earth and what is yet to come if we continue living as we are.
- making out transport systems more efficient, and increase the price of cars. This will benefit both the community and the environment.
- including incentives for those who are consciously making an effort to be environmentally sustainable.

Regards, Kriya Velayutham

Whether or not you are aware, the world is dealing with a lot of major environmental issues at the moment, and to help the earth, we need to promote sustainability and being environmentally healthy.

There are many ways to do this, you could for instance start a campaign teaching people about the state the world is in, and helping them realise what they have to do to save it. A big problem is that people are either unaware of the issues, or they don't believe in them.

The government could help people to save the environment by teaching the to ride their bike to work, and stop buying certain products that damage the environment. Actions like these can save the environment, and if the government can promote it, then the environment can be saved.

Regards, josh allen

Dear Mr Turball,

Due to our recent actions in economic growth the environment has been suffering. From our constant dependence on fossil fuels the greenhouse gas effect is continuing to grow. As a result the water levels are rising and will eventually swallow our beaches. Crops die from the heat in places where they used to naturally grow. However just by putting in place laws about greater traveling by public tranceport our dependence on the unsustainable resources as fossil fuels would decrease the effect on green house gasses on Australia. The way we are living my be confortable but it is only a certain amount of time instilled we can no longer sustain our destructive way of life. By your actions we can begin a sustainable way of life in Australia.
Thanks for you time and I hope you can support the cause.

Regards Ben Watson

Dear Mr. Turnbull,

As you would know, the earth's population is increasing and so is Australia's, everyday. This is already putting pressure on our society to make sure we can provide every citizen with their basic human right, thus leaving the question: how can we be sustainable? Ensuring that we can supply everyone with resources while also being environmentally friendly.

The changed should start small, such as adding more ads that reminds us of the damage occuring (such as deforestation), taxing the ownership of cars more as this will give people a disincentive to use public transportation more and lastly, give people an incentive to waste less. Germany's government pay citizens the more they recycle; not only is this making people happy, it simultaneously is eco friendly. Of course there are many more ideas than this, so I hope that you will consider a Governmental movementthat will lead to sustainability and helping the future generations to come.

Kind regards,
Janice

Dear Mr Turnbull,

Environmental issues is a problem in our society today. I have some suggestions on how you can promote sustainable developments, cutting down less trees would be a start, cutting down trees leads to deforestation which is not helping the environment any better. Secondly, we should start using more public transportation to get to the places we need to go, instead of using our own cars. Providing more bus lanes and train services would help public transport to be easier and faster.
Regards, evely

Dear mr Turnbull,

I am sure you are aware of the currant environmental issues that the world is currently facing today, due to this we are currently undergoing dramatic climate changes that are a huge risk to both our government and our citizens. However there are ways that the government can enforce systems and suggestions to the public as to how we can help slow down and maybe even prevent future environmental changes and these include: promoting public transport, creating more modes of public transportation as well as creating more bus lanes and train services will help promote the use of public transport because people will use it to avoided traffic in certain areas. Another way the government can help create a move environmental friendly area is to reduce the amount of trees being cut every year, 50,000-100,000 trees per square km trees are cut annually in Australia alone, the r suction of deforestation will dramatically improve the environment.

-Tamika

Dear Mr. Turnbull.

I felt the need to inform you that Australia as a country is using more resources than necessary. I strongly think that we should invest in more renewable resources and that the non renewable resources that we use, should be limited down as it is not helping the environment and they are not naturally made by the environment and will not be able to be man made.

There is lots of ways to help the Earth become more sustainable. Firstly, you could bring awareness to the issue with advertisements on TV or stage protests. Another thing that you can do is make unsustainable products more expensive so it would influence people to buy the cheaper product.

I hope I have brought some light to your mind Mr Turnbull.
