It can be used to facilitate and support what you are teaching in the classroom. This will help move emergent bilinguals forward and keep them integrated with the work in the classroom. One thing that really stood out from the framework section of Cheridy Aduviri prezi, was SAMR. Technology can be integrated in a variety of ways. Most teachers use it as a substitution, but it can also be used as a learning tool. Students are still accomplishing the same task but are able to express it in a way that is special and unique to them. They can take their own learning into their hands and do it in a way that is beneficial to them. This is extremely important for emergent bilinguals. It gives them the opportunity to be successful in the classroom. Not all students have the same abilities and just assigning an essay does not fit the needs of the learners. Integrating technology will give them the ability to do the assignment in a way that works for them. This also allows students to add their own flare to the project and will work harder on the assignment, by taking ownership and doing it the way that they want to do it.
