John Brown led an army of 18 men to create a major rebellion of slavery in the south.
His raid deepened the divide between the North and the South. The North turned Brown into a martyr, while the South were outraged that the North valued his rebellion.
The South couldn't understand why the North was sympathetic towards someone who destroyed their property and threatened their lives.
Southern Politicians blamed the republican party and falsely accused Abraham Lincoln of supporting Brown's intentions, which caused the election to become unimaginable to the South.

Contribution: The events that took place in "Bleeding Kansas" resulted in increased tension between people that were both in favor of slavery and abolitionists. It also resulted in Kansas converting to a "free-state" resulting in secession of southern state in favor of slavery.
Why: Both the north and the south feared of what Kansas would become. They were fearful that the decision would result in the balance of power being unbalanced.
Connection: The events that took place caused Kansas to be admitted as a "free-state" favoring the north and resulting in secession of the southern states. The events that took place were a mere foreshadow of what was to come the following years.

There's lots of good information here - in particular, I like the organization you used! It prompted you to focus on the thought processes you used instead of just summarizing the information. Continue to work on using your reasoning to also explain how you're using the required skill in the prompt. Until this becomes natural, consider using a sentence starter, such as, "This fits into a cycle of conflict because..."

Let's also continue to work on academic language in our work.
