Increase in Interactivity

This portion of the article talked about how as time goes on, technology is becoming more and more interactive. This interactivity with technology may dramatically change the way the classroom works. The article talks about how no child particularly LIKES sitting still. However, by incorporating interactive technology into the lessons or other parts of the school day, you are giving kids a way to move around, and stay engaged and focused on what they are learning.

On-Demand Living

This paragraph talked about how in today's society, most of the technology that we use has the ability to see television shows, movies, listen to music, etc. on-demand or whenever and where ever we choose depending on the device being used. This technological feature could allow teachers to flip their classroom, or record videos of lessons and make them accessible to students via internet. This would allow the students to refer back to the lessons, view the lessons when absent, or even view the lesson as homework and do the practice at school with the teacher available for assistance.

This portion of the article talked about social media and the ability to post anything and everything we choose including our own thoughts and opinions. This teaches students that when writing, they don't have to limit themselves to writing for one specific person or audience, but for anyone in the world who cares to read their writing.

Everything is Mobile (and Instant)

This paragraph spoke about how with mobile devices such as laptops, smartphones, and tablets, information is available anywhere and everywhere we go. Therefore, people can focus on using the information for the greater good rather than worrying about having to remember it. If students were allowed to use their own mobile devices to aid them in the classroom, it could possibly help those students who have trouble retaining information, and allow them to focus on the task at hand rather than memorizing the information.

Most difficult change to overcome

I personally feel like the most difficult change to overcoming has to do with the "on-demand living." While posting lessons online for students to access especially in a flipped classroom setting, you have to remember that there will always be students who will not have the means to access the lessons in that way. Even if the school were to provide tablets or computers to those students, there is still a chance that those students will also not have internet access. This poses a problem not only for the student, but the parent who would have to tote their child to McDonald's or Barnes and Noble whom have free Wi-Fi, just so their child can do their homework. While the idea of using technology to put your lessons and assignments online for student "convenience," the idea that it will work in for every student is simply not realistic.

Instead, I would post only activities and assignments online that students would be able to complete at some point in the day at school.
