I teach music at a medium secondary school in a little village near L’Aquila in Italy. During this school year I have tested the “Flipped classroom” as a new learning methodology with my students. 

At home they watched some videos I arranged them and in the classroom we met in circle time to talk about the topic or they carried out group real school work 

I think that a PBL approach could be easily complemented with Flipped classroom because the learning strategies are similar.

I could use to experiment with PBL in a music class, and the subject topic could be Mozart and his operas, e.g. giving them as a duty to prepare a slideshow with listening some pieces.
