I am 16, and I play the drums and guitar. I mostly play Metal, Deathcore, Trash-metal, and such. I decided to attend Sejergaardens because I wanted to get better at music in general. Mainly with the theoretical stuff like writing and reading pieces that are not for the drums. 

I use music as a way to express myself, and to get out emotions. It's very therapeutic. 

I like to think that I'm a positive person. but I've been told I'm very chaotic. Outside of music, I've done Drama and played badminton. I've also along with some of my friends constructed a group where we Plat DnD, which is fun and cozy.

I am currently a student at ‘’Sejergaard musikefterkole’’ while I'm focusing on some of my personal interests and hobbies before moving forward.  

I’m a bit of an introvert, but I like hanging out with my friends here. I love playing music, even though I’m not the greatest. I play the piano, but I also want to learn the guitar in the future, specifically the acoustic guitar. I’m planning on learning jazz/blues piano. I really like the vibe that that kind of music gives off. But I also like to just play covers of music from games, movies and TV shows. 

When I grow older, I would like to travel to Japan, and might even live there for a couple of years, which is why, as a hobby, I’m studying Japanese in my free time. I’ve only started recently so it’s not the biggest deal right. 
I’ve made some wonderful friends here and made lots of memorable moments that I will look back on later in life.

I love being at Sejergaarden. It's a very safe space where everyone is allowed to be themselves. I've made tons of friends, and definetely also friends that will last forever. 
At school I spend many hours of the week playing drums. Occasionally I try and play the piano, but drums are my primary. When not playing I like listening and analyzing music. Mostly I listen and play to Rock. I also love a genre called Metalcore. I love it at the school because I get to learn how to express myself musically and because I've made a lot of new friends whom I love and care for immensely.
  
Apart from music, I also like playing video games, watching TV and hanging out with my friends. 

Even though I've been here for a few months I’m still excited for the rest of the year and I can’t wait for all the things I'm gonna learn and the things I'll get better at.

I’ve played the guitar and piano for about 2 years, so when I finished grade school, I was really craving time to immerse myself in the world of music. Here at Sejergaarden, we have 3 different programs, each one with a different musical focus. We have Live Music Performance (LMP), Songwriting and Producing. I chose Live Music Performance, since I really want to get better at playing my instruments, and to learn how to work in different genres. I’ve also started singing since attending this school.

So far, this year has given me a lot of valuable experiences and lessons, and I look forward to spending the rest of my year here. I’ve met people I’m going to cherish for the rest of my life.

My name is Bernard. I attend Sejergaardens musical school, it’s something we in Denmark call an “efterskole”. An “efterskole” is a school you live at. Spending a year at an “efterskole” is optional. At Sejergaardens we have two different academic programs, a standard 10th grade called “FP10”, and an alternative 10th grade called “Modig10”. I attend the “Modig10” class, here we learn all the basic things we must learn but using different methods.  
 
Of course, “efterskole” isn’t just school, we also have a mandatory choir and different musical programs. There are three musical programs. The musician, songwriter and producer program. I’m a part of the producer program. In the producer program we learn to produce our music with a new and different outlook. We try things we have never done before, such as producing music for a film. It’s not all creativity though, we also learn all the technical things we need. 
 
At the school we have a lot of different instruments and studios at our disposal. A lot of the students use the studios for practicing their music. I unfortunately don’t play any instruments, so I rarely use the studios. I mostly make my music in my room on my computer.  
 
What do I spend my free time on? 
I spend most of my time with my girlfriend, Kamille. But I also spend quite a bit of time with my friends, I have started a rap group with three of my friends, we are called DEFLEKT. Even though it’s generally amazing attending this “efterskole”, it can also be difficult at times. There are always people no matter where you go, and sometimes you might need a break. It can be difficult distancing yourself from your friends. There’s always something to do, but it might be for the better just relaxing by yourself for a bit.

I play the clarinet and piano and since attending this school I’ve been learning tenor saxophone and guitar, and my singing has improved. 

I used to live in Høje Taastrup a suburb in the Copenhagen area but me and my family has just recently moved to Copenhagen. I feel quite weird about the fact that I don’t necessarily have one place that feels like home. But I’ve met amazing people here who I love and I’ll definitely miss and visit afterwards.
I absolutely love the fact that I here have met people through music.

You can take it with you everywhere you go, and you can sing while your playing. I love to go here everyone is so nice and you get a lot of friends that you just know will last forever. 
When I am not at the school in the weekends I am at home. I live in a I live in a medium-sized town called Roskilde with my family. I live with my mom, dad and my two sisters. I love them very much, so it can be a bit hard not living with them daily, but I am starting to get used to it, it can still be hard sometimes. Because of that I can really feel how much I appreciate my friends here, they are just so helpful and good to talk to if you miss your family or friends at home.
