My husband and I just got done remodeling our bathroom. We went to get the track for our shower doors. When we got it home, we couldn't figure out why the size was off for the bottom piece. After looking at it, we noticed that someone had cut it. We took it back and turns out that someone had bought it, cut it wrong, put everything back in box, and returned it for a full refund which is an example of return fraud. The company put it back on the shelves without looking at them because the people told them they didn't need it. Then the next person gets the used product. That puts the company out of money for the product they will now not be able to resell.
I also worked for a place that a coworker would walk around and talk to people all day and then when it was time to leave, she would start working and claim she needed to stay over because she was so busy just to get overtime pay.

At Christmas time, I see people who have signed up for help from various places with Christmas presents for their children returning the gifts for gift cards and cash. Just to turn around and buy alcohol, cigarettes, and other items that are most definately not for the children.

I think the one I see the most is "Misuse of company time and resources". It wasn't long ago that there was a girl working with me that was on her laptop searching for jobs on indeed, while at work. Everyone else could not believe someone would do that and this girl did not even care that people noticed what she was doing. I personally thought it was very disrespectful and when I told her that she replied "What are they doing to do, fire me?" Turns out that was exactly what they did.

I guess this would be discrimination. My wife worked as an administrative assistant for a over a year for someone until her boss hired one of their family members. About two weeks after the bosses friend was out of training they promoted her and demoted my wife, cutting her pay $5! While the new person just had my wife do everything still because she already knew how to do it. She confronted her employer and they told her they had to downsize for her friends new position! She then decided to leave that business (which is now under new management) and works in HR. Ironic I guess.

My mom had to deal with a discrimination case at work and ended up firing the person at fault. The comments made were directly said to the person with witnesses. The person at fault tried to explain how he wasn't entirely in the wrong because the person the comments were directed at says the same things everyday. My mom was put in a very uncomfortable situation but knew what to do and I think it was a very good decision.

I can think of many example of the above ethical issues. One that stands out would be considered at best lying if not fraud. I frequently see people attempting to sell things on online marketplaces using deceptive photos or descriptions. They also use tactics such as not putting a price in the price field so that it shows up as free but then having a price listed in the description. these cause potential buyers to become more involved than they otherwise would.

The thing i definitely see the most of especially in my line of work is misuse of company time. However, this is slightly different for me. I work based on commission, so if you aren't doing anything that is completely on you, and you won't get paid. The company has to pay you if you don't make minimum wage, but other than that everything falls on you. Many people definitely complain about this one and I can admit i'd even been at fault with this when i worked at other jobs. They want you attentative and aware of everything that is going on. Being distracted by a phone is not something that is very good.

One example of misuse of company time and assets is a coworker of my daughter. They both sit at the front desk of a medical facility. Her coworker constantly surfs the internet and shops all day. When a patient approaches her she becomes very annoyed and irritated as though they are interrupting her. My daughter has to constantly tell her that a patient is standing in front of her, or just help the patient herself.
