Yes, I took that from the Constitution, but it's important to remember what the purpose of America was when it was founded. Multiculturalism is an important aspect of being an American.
Edit: I think that traditions, rituals, knowledge and stories are a huge part of being an American. To be apart of the U.S. of A., you have to know where you are and who you are surrounded by. There's an enormous amount of love required to live in the land of the free. Barbecues celebrating some sort of event that led to the creation of America, fireworks, parties, etc. Just so much celebration and appreciation for where you live. There's freedom in every aspect, unless of course you are someone who is different. While this country is great on the outside, delving deep into it, there's so many flaws. Too many to count. Being an American requires being oppressed or being an oppressor, there's so much inequality and injustice, but for some reason this country is still loved more than any other.
