A: Yes time is always tough! As we begin to streamline & focus our instruction on specific & explicit skills, as opposed to allowing a lesson/resource to control our instruction, this will become more streamlined. Please refer to the Sample Balanced Literacy schedules from the Project Literacy Learning back in August, and on your TL presentation this November to help. A: Best practice is to consider many, many data points when assessing a students need for intervention support. This criteria was developed to give teachers a "starting point" for data to consider when making decisions for students.
