Personal, social and physical education scope and sequence by Kelsey

The purposes of the PYP scope and sequence documents are to: • provide a tool to inform the whole school community about teaching and learning in each subject area • make transparent the essential elements of the PYP in the context of the subject areas and, • clarify the role of the subject areas in a transdisciplinary programme.

Please read pages 1-5 of the personal, social and physical education scope and sequence and complete a 3-2-1 reflection. Please remember to include your name. :)

With less emphasis on sports and more on learning skills and learning how to cooperate.

That IB sees PE teachers as PYP teachers as equal to classroom teachers. Its great to see and obviously true, I feel like that gets forgotten by admin and other teachers often.

What happens when there simply cannot be a way to incorporate lessons or ideas from the homeroom class into the PE setting. How much collaboration is considered enough. I remember from an IB training years ago where the presenter said its easy. "For example when you have them line up to go back to their homeroom, that's migration, and you just collaborated." That didn't seem right.
