Today I was a risk-taker as I approached unfamiliar situations with courage. For example, when we had to pass the focus with sadness, I was a little confused and unfamiliar with this task. But with courage, I brainstormed ideas with my group and came up with a good “performance.” I worked with new and different team members and explored many ideas, which makes me a risk taker.

During the group project when we conducted the increase of exaggeration in emotion, I had to apply my creative thinking talents. For instance, I portrayed the most extreme level of despair, which undoubtedly called for creative thinking because there isn't a more difficult method to convey sadness than the fact that we are unable to utilize our faces. I carefully considered how I would convey this to the best of my ability.

Today in class I used communication because, I had to communicate with the rest of my team. The activity was to go through varying stages of one emotion, by using different gestures. This activity promoted communication because, I had to organize and plan with the rest of the people on my team to make sure we were all doing different and appropriate gestures. today in class with my team, I used communication because my team was struggling with the activity ms J gave us, and I had to step up and use my words to help my team get some ideas to improve more on the activity. Today in class, I used my creative thinking. As this was our first lesson creating and practicing our script, we didn't have much to work on, and I had to use a lot of my creative thinking. I generated new ideas on how the story line would go, how the different characters would use the same props, and how to make the performance better and funnier. An example of this is at the end of the performance when we are caught by the cops and we all run off the stage. I had a creative idea to make the end of the performance funnier by having Aline (the drug addict) tiptoe back on stage and get the drugs from the table/

I strengthened the AtL communication because I had to communicate with my Crit C group when developing our play. I had to communicate new ideas and how we could improve our current ideas. For example, I shared that it would be better if Kashvi and Maya took a bit shorter time so that I would have something to do when they have a conversation and I'm watching them. This ensures that we have the best possible Crit C with everyone's input. Open communication also enables effective team work.

Today I used my communication skills with my team to make our Criteria C performance. I expressed my ideas for various parts of our performance. I mainly expressed my ideas on the different gestures and body languages the different characters were going to do. For example, I gave an idea that during two of our characters' interactions, they could have a moment with their hands, and that idea grew into an idea where one character could get the wrong idea and try to hold my hand, and my character would pull away, confused. This added onto our performance because it's funny and makes our performance better and more interesting.

In today's lesson, I used my creative thinking skills to visualize what our theater piece would look like. Since we didn't have much space to set up, I had to think about where the props and people would be positioned and how to incorporate elements such as clocking, person in major/minor, etc. An example of this is in our script. I spent some time thinking about which characters would be major/minor, and then I came to a conclusion, also helping my group with their artistic intentions as well.

I developed my communication skills when my group began brainstorming ideas for our performance (Crit C). I had an idea for our performance that I shared with the group. However, Kashvi had a different idea for a theme in the performance. After listening to what she had to say, I realised that I really liked the idea. We then communicated about different things that should happen in the play. When we all communicated, we produced an amazing original idea.

I improved my communication skills today and in the last few lessons. I have been very sucessful in demonstrating my body language in my criterion C performence with my group. I also developed my skills by sharing ideas to Maya and Sswaha about what our performence should look like and how we should chracterize each character. Today in class I used my creative thinking. Th group I'm in spent a majority of the class working on our performance for criteria c. Besides our general plot we had close to none of our performance worked out, during this class we came up with almost our entire performance. While doing this I had to think creatively about all the different gestures I could do to show my characters personality. All these little characteristics added another level of depth to our performance making it more interesting and engaging to the audience.

In class today, I used creative thinking to effectively perform what are envisioned idea. I gave feedback to my peers and myself and how we can improve while maintaining the key concepts of masks such as clocking the audience, passing the focus, and facing the front. I used my creative thinking to fill in small holes in our performance. It was also interesting to add the plot twist at the end which I think added the element of surprise.

I was a risk taker as I had to do many things, like perform in front of an audience. I wasn't quite comfortable performing confidently in front of an audience. I had to do an activity where I was with a group, and we passed the focus, we were doing anger, and I had to be a risk taker and perform our short skit in front of the class, which I wasn't used to. But, I overcame this challenge and we ended up presenting a good theatre skit. I also worked with a group I was unfamiliar with. This was new for me and so I had to collaborate with my new group and exchange new ideas.

I used these skills to come up with different ideas and small things to add in our performance to make it better. I felt that during the time we spent rehearsing for criteria C and even before during escaping prisoners, I've grown in theatre to take more different roles outside of my comfort zone. For example, Im usually an energetic person but for criteria C I'm neutral trying to be a funny ghost. In escaping prisoners I was a clumsy and stupid prisoner. Overall, Over Criteria C I've been a risk taker to try new roles and personalities which has helped me become a more variety performer.

Today, in class when we were brainstorming ideas for our final performence. Everyone in our group had different perspectives and ideas of what they wanted to do. So, we effectively communicated each idea and discussed their pros and cons. Finally, we combined all our ideas and came up with the final performence called 'The Misunderstanding'. All of this decision making only took place because we communicated well in our group with not just talking about also listening to others' ideas.

One of the things that has challenged me in this new unit has been the use of masks, and not being able to rely on facial expression and speech. This lead to me having to broaden my creativity and learn different ways to communicate a message to an audience. The escaping prisoners activity led me to put myself into the shoes of the audience and think on how to communicate the message and emotion I want to express. A specific example for this is my character being, confident and representing the leader. To accomplish this expression successfully, I thought about the different ways I would imagine this type of character to act. I tried to act like that in the play made sure, that with the techniques of clocking the audience, and passing the focus I communicated my character as a confident leader.

I had to think that would be the right movements for my character and body language and what i would do. I was able to improve and use my communication in throughout this unit. One time that i used my communication was when making the set of our play where i was able to talk to my team members about my ideas and how i thought it would be better to put our chairs and how to use our props. I was also able to use my communication skills my talking to my team about our play and what i think we should do. Using communication throughout this unit has helped me improve the skill.

I used Creative thinking many times in this unit not only in planning. For example, when performing sometimes we didn't match up with our video (the one projected) which meant we needed to creatively think and come up with something on the spot/improvise. Then as mentioned above creative thinking was also involved in the planning stage meaning we needed to come up with an original script and a message. This can help me in the future not only in Theatre but also in other classes allowing me to also have better problem solving skills.
