Q1. Which of the Ten Ethical Computing Guidelines do you think students violate most often?

Out of the 10 Ethical Computing Guidelines, I think that all of them get violated to some degree more or less than others.

Convenience: The availability of unethical resources that can be acquired is more than a handful. It's very easy to navigate the internet for anything including ways to harm, cheat, or use unauthorized software.

Lack of consequences: Due to the lack of obedience online, the consequences of doing these unethical actions are very low. It's easy to dodge consequences online.

Peer influence: Pressure from different social groups or friends can lead to unethical actions. Accessing someone's personal information without permission is unethical behavior.

Q2. Why do you think these violations occur?

The main reason that these violations occur is because of the lack of consequences for their actions. Online security is very trackable in many cases but not taken as seriously. People can commit hate speech online without getting in trouble because it's easier to get away with. Factors including time, money, and more energy to take action against unethical actions if greater.

There are many implementations that can be formed to reduce unethical behavior.

Education and Awareness: Provide education on computer ethics and the ethical implications of technology use. Incorporate discussion on case studies, and real-world examples into technology courses. Raise awareness among students about the potential consequences of unethical behavior. Many people don't understand the internet, so awareness may help them.

Enforcement: Implement enforces of ethical computing policies, including actions of violations.
