However at the end he interviewed an Atlantic journalist who had interviewed Trump before, and who was more left-leaning. The journalist argued that the reason Trump received different questions was because Trump does worse things, and the questions are just based on things he's said/done, which Biden hasn't. By ending on that reporter's argument, I think the main purpose was to refute the idea that Biden is treated differently.

The piece was intended for anyone questioning whether Joe Biden was getting the same treatment in interviews from the media as trump does. 

The fact that the audience they were catering to was a left leaning one may have influenced how the argument was structured. Throughout the video it became clear that the piece was intended to bring attention to possible media bias towards Biden, however, the title of the segment was phrased as a question. Pathos: The news station refrained from appealing to Pathos in order to seem as unbiased as possible. The purpose of the news is to lay down the facts, straight and simple.
